BUILD A CONTEST AQUASCAPE – THE HARDSCAPE & GLUING ROCKS TOGETHER

It’s time to get our hands dirty with our contest aquascape. Will show you how to build the rocks (some modest 200 kilos or 441 pounds) for the contest tank, based on the visual design made by concept artist Éva Kedves. This was a big and time-consuming work, Balazs spent 4 full days on gluing the hardscape and one more day on moving the layout in it’s place to the aquarium. We will show you what aspects of a contest tank we consider during the hardscape building process.

  15. Cuyahoga Aquatics on December 23, 2020 at 10:14 pm

Great looking hardscape. I had question about the impa super ancora verticale that you used to glue all the rocks together. Would you happen to have or know of a product I could use/get in the United States to achieve the same result? Thanks

  16. Salvatore on December 23, 2020 at 10:15 pm

I took impa super again and reading the instructions he says to use 100 parts of glue and 2 – 3 of hardener. From your videos it seems to me you use much more hardener. Have you had negative experiences using the recommended doses?

So AMAZZZING INCREDIBLE AMOUNT OF WORK !!! I do have a Question…al that weight plus water plants and fish what if it weighs too much ,,, and an idea about that what would it be possible for the rocks that would be against the glass (sides and back) of the aquarium to cut the back part of the assembled column/wall off flat using a miter saw or circular saw just an idea

  22. mohammed kunhi on December 23, 2020 at 10:19 pm

Awesome job as always and another outstanding aquarium in that gallery! It’s just another level! Congrats!

    Great scape.
    What glue did you use.
You mentio in video that you will talk abaut the glue. But i didt findit enyvere.
    Any hint or link?

    Thanks a lot

  31. Salvatore on December 23, 2020 at 10:22 pm

The glue is 3729 SUPER ANCORA VERTICALE?

  32. SebaOnWheels on December 23, 2020 at 10:24 pm

I always wonder if the weight of the stones (200kg) is not too much for the Aquarium glas. I wanted to copy that style for a ada 60p but im scared the weight of the stones will break the glass at one point. of course it wont be 200kg bec i will use a 60p but still it will be heavy.

  33. Bugra ER on December 23, 2020 at 10:25 pm

You are the best aquascapers in the world! Green Aqua invites a great number of famous aquascapers and they’re all the best but all the credits goes to you due to your patience to teach and show how to scape a beautiful aquarium ! Congratulations on this fantastic aquarium. I look forward to visit you. I’m from Portugal 🇵🇹 Oporto city and it’s a shame there isn’t a store like that in here…

I need some help with a rock formation I’m trying to make. I’m trying to build a platform on some pillars to have an aquarium underneath and a terrarium on top with 2 waterfalls that will meet in the middle before falling into the water below. The platform will need top be about 24 inches (61 cm) long and about 8 inches (20 cm) wide. Anyone have some suggestions on how I could make this? Stone suggestions or alternate materials to use? Any help is appreciated
