Thanks for video! Especially on the tip on which row to place certain herbs, makes total sense..I’ll probably opt to use a fabric shoeholder but it’s a great concept!! Thank you!!

I have an important question: that kind of light intensity you have, is that enough for the plants? ‘Cause I want to do this in my house but the sun never hits the walls directly!

how does it drain? I’m guessing the top would drain to the next, then the next, but what about the last slots. Where do they drain? Thanks

OMG! I was looking for something like this for my youth program! Thanks!

Thank you for this. I just started searching for ways to garden indoors and found you. I was depressed thinking I’m doomed to apartment living and would have to forgo my dreams of homesteading. I’m still a little down because I really can’t homestead in my apartment. I have zero outside space. No chickens or goats for me. However, at least I now see that I can harvest my own herbs. Thank you.

  15. Sydnee Daugherty on December 26, 2020 at 10:30 pm

  16. Betsaida Velez on December 26, 2020 at 10:31 pm

I’m planning to do something similar indoors in my kitchen. will i have to place some sort of tray on the floor for the water drainage?

  17. Miriam on December 26, 2020 at 10:33 pm

The idea of repurposing the item for a vertical garden – yes. Plastic and gravel at the bottom – no.

questions – don’t see what’s beneath it? what’s the drip rate and how much pooling? like will this rot a porch?

  23. funky bruja on December 26, 2020 at 10:39 pm

I know I’m late, but gravel contributes to root rot. Just use holes and soil. Mine is growing nicely.

I just pulled out my daughter’s old shoe rack to repurpose it. It’s canvas. I’m just trying to decide how to keep water fro getting everywhere.

  29. A H on December 26, 2020 at 10:55 pm

Super idea but why put all the holes in bag? aren’t all the stone’s at bottom enough for capturing and keeping the water seperate from roots?

  30. Kauser Fatima on December 26, 2020 at 10:57 pm

OMG, so adorable! If kept indoors how does watering works?

Tryinbg to find a shore organizer with pockets as big as those and having a difficult time locating them. Suggestions? I about wore out Amazon looking, and can’t find that size.

  33. Julie N on December 26, 2020 at 10:59 pm

Any extra water (except the bottom 2) will be caught by the lower plants I guess. Better than outdoor garden with the chemtrails.
Step 1 Hang your shoe organizer
Step 2 Small exacto blade cuts in brick pattern
    Step 3 Gravel
    Step 4 Dirt
Step 5 Place plant in & water
