When we bought this off-grid homestead property it had a small greenhouse on it. It’s so tiny, but it works. The climate just south of us, near Anchorage, is so much better for growing vegetables, but a couple hours north and 2,000 feet higher in elevation we have such a short growing season.
About a month ago we started these seeds in the lodge, and it’s finally warm enough outside to get them moved to the greenhouse. Alyssa also spread some old coffee grounds on the strawberries and it’s starting to look like summertime in our corner of Alaska!
