I’m curious about dimensions…..what are the approximate sizes of the larger stones…and the smaller ones….and how high and wide is the retaining area? I’d like to do this with a raised edible garden bed….will it lose soil in rain or is it stacked tight enough that it holds the soil?
my grand father just to build walls with round stones and rocks 6 feet toll that where so straight and square i wish i can build something like he did now that i own a house

How do you maintain the mowing edge and do you use anything that prevents grass from growing next to the rocks? I don’t see any grass clippings in the mowing edge from a trimmer.
Nice dry stack rock work ! I build a wall very similar . I use a log or railroad tie as the center of the wall then mound the stones over the log or RR tie .witch ever you use for center of wall !!
What’s the trick to keeping grass and weeds from growing between the rocks? Can’t mow or weed wack them out and chemicals kill everything.
Thank you
I tried this with my local stone but all my stones have jagged edges , the rounded stone you use looks great.
Dug alotta’ HOLES to get that many rocks!
