DIY DOLLAR TREE STRAWBERRY HANGING BASKET SPHERES||CONTAINER GARDENING
I dug up some of my strawberry pants that I had and decided to repot them in some hanging baskets. But instead of just regular baskets I made it into a strawberry ball basket! If you have ever seen the succulent hanging balls thats just what I did but with strawberry plants! If you want to see an update on how they are doing later in the season let me know in the comments below and I will make another video about them!

I’d like to see how they do. I had some plants in the coconut bowls like you use and they dried out in a day. Had to water every day and fertilize often.

Those little purple flowers are probably violets. They grow wild where I live.

The violets are edible!! You can even eat the root tubers…. do a little research and you may be happily surprised by what you learn.. as far as the strawberry hanging pots… now I have to go get some!!! Lol!! Nice vid.. Thanks!!💕

I would love to see the outcoming of the strawberries. I bought the strawberries and I peeled it as if it was a potato. I put them in the dirt and just put a little bit of dirt and they are growing beautifully. Loved and Subbed.

Hi – Sorry I did not see this earlier, i would like to make a suggestion. When ever i see people using this type of basket he problem they have is they dry out very quickly – the Coco quar does not hold enough moisture and the water flows right through. I have seen people add 1/2 of a small disposable Diaper on the bottom. The diaper holds the water so the plant does not dry out.

You have to make a way to get water to the middle and bottom of the basket. I planted strawberries in a strawberry pot but it is the same principle. I used a two and a half inch PVC pipe with holes drilled all over it. The more holes you have the more water that gets to the lants. You would need a smaller pipe because the idea is the same. I put 2 inches of stones in the bottom of the pipe and cut it to have the top even with the soil. That is the only way I could get water to all the plants. I fear that your plants need water right now because you translated them just now and they need lots of water for a while so they can develop their roots. I did the same thing with the hanging bags they sell. I lost all the plants except the top layer because when I watered them most of the water flowed out of the first layer. I used the pipe watering system and they were fantastic. You could put the pipe through the round hole in the of the basket. I had this info from an elderly neighbor because they do not tell you when you buy the bags or the pots for that matter. Hope this helps your plants to flourish.

You are growing in a pot, You should be using potting mix for container growing not Garden Soil which is a lot heavier. That is the reason it is so heavy. Also line the bottom basket with black plastic with a few small holes in the bottom to retain water longer.
