Harbor Freight Greenhouse & Hydroponics Overview

We took the 10×12 Harbor Freight greenhouse, and modified it in order to run a full hydroponics setup. We used 4 gallon buckets with perlite and organic nutrients. Each plant is organic, and we are able to fit 30 buckets in the greenhouse. In the future, we will post an update during our harvest.

What is the size of your feeder line into the bucket? I have tried to different pumps and am only able to get my water go about 6 feet even when my pumps say the can go 25 feet, any thoughts on how I can get it to go to my last bucket?

  3. grandillusion52 on March 11, 2021 at 10:56 pm

what’s the point of growing each plant in a separate container?

  4. Sonny Hood on March 11, 2021 at 10:56 pm

I like it, really great. But it’s not organic when you grow in plastic, plastic anything leeches chemicals am inorganic compounds. Good setup to start though thanks for vid

  5. Corey Lomeli on March 11, 2021 at 10:57 pm

  6. kal on March 11, 2021 at 10:57 pm

No follow up? How was the harvest?

  7. MWRgibson R on March 11, 2021 at 11:00 pm

I bought one just like it and so did my neighbor. Both of them blew down with the first little win. Mine was so twisted up and bent I couldn’t salvage it. My neighbor could salvage his. And he had to reinforce it with heavier aluminum and 2×4 lumber. They are made of the lightest aluminum you can find. The sliding doors never did work right. Save your money and build one out of lumber!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately that setup is not ideal. Hope you have a water chiller.absolutely clean setup but a little Overkill I must say.

  26. johnnywriight on March 11, 2021 at 11:18 pm

Nice click bait. Nothing but the greenhouse is from harbor freight. Maybe the pump.

Superb set up and so is your way of detailed explanation. Interested in knowing the kind of.water treatment you do for hydroponic requirements and how do you keep all the water storage cleaned?

  33. geochaben on March 11, 2021 at 11:27 pm

One wonders how this would work with a 2 to 3 foot snow load.

  34. Matt Fledderjohann on March 11, 2021 at 11:28 pm

Only thing that would enhance this video is if you add an extra 5-10 minutes to this video with your harvest update, so we can see the results of this setup right here, and don’t have to search for that video when it comes; but I understand its good to have multiple videos too. I just think it would enhance this video even more. Also, finally give a rough estimate of the setup cost, and maybe even how much it cost up until harvest if you can. I think that would really push the likes and subscriptions to your howto videos.

  35. Living Life on Life's Terms on March 11, 2021 at 11:32 pm

How many gallons does that tank hold? And how much water do you think you loose to evaporation? I’ll look at more videos cause I have multiple questions lol. Thanks for sharing.

  40. Modern gun guy on March 11, 2021 at 11:38 pm

Those organic nudes aren’t going to get you anywhere straight crap go straight chemical that’s good shit comes from

  41. Rodrigo Lerena on March 11, 2021 at 11:38 pm

  42. Jackson Willis on March 11, 2021 at 11:38 pm

People. No bottled nutrient is 100% organic. Period. Its salt based. Quit spreading false claims. Hydro is the furthest thing from organic idc what your bottled nutrient says. Its chemically made in a lab. That’s the furthest thing from organic. How about you look at no-till and then promote true organic produce. Until then, quit spreading lies and marketing synthetic produce

  43. Jon W on March 11, 2021 at 11:40 pm

What was the rough cost of this entire setup: greenhouse, blocks, boards, buckets, pearlite, pump, pipes, etc? Maybe not include the cost of the concrete.
    Thanks. Great video!

I just saw that you have another video that goes through this. Looks like the answer is about $1800.

    How much is the greenhouse?

  46. Faynier Barley on March 11, 2021 at 11:44 pm

Ok bro what you really growing ….PUNA BUD …

  47. O G on March 11, 2021 at 11:44 pm

you need to put lids or covers on those reservoirs. And again due to the algae growth it looks like you are not using a water chiller. Also if this is not run off of solar, it should be.

  48. James Symens on March 11, 2021 at 11:45 pm

Isn’t PVC unsafe for plants and drinking water because it leaches chemicals?

  49. Cayetano Rocha on March 11, 2021 at 11:45 pm
