$55 Mini DIY Walk In Greenhouse From Amazon Review After 3 Months, is it worth the money?

In this video I do a review on the mini greenhouse that I bought from amazon, my primary use for this greenhouse has been for extending my season for a few of my vegetable plants but this could be used for tons of other types of plants as well. I’ll post the link to check out the one that I bought right below this paragraph! I am curious to hear if y’all have ever used a greenhouse like this before yourselves and if you haven’t are you wanting to try one out? Let me know down in the comments!!

  4. coffeexvlog on March 26, 2021 at 11:31 pm

I’ve had this one since last year in the spring time. It’s good for a starter, I’m going to make one out of windows. I got mine from tractor supply.

  5. Randy Man on March 26, 2021 at 11:32 pm

Does anybody know if you can buy another cover for it in case it does go bad? Also I would love to use it outside a lot in the summer and would like to have like a shade net to fit it. You think that might be hard to find? By the way I just purchased mine at tractor supply for $39.99 43 counting taxes

this never damage the plant without heater?

  13. Shane Bassen on March 26, 2021 at 11:42 pm

So when you use green plastic like that it filters out the wave lengths that plants need for photosynthesis.

I have 2 of these one bigger and one smaller. I am going to put the small one inside the bag one. I am going to sink 4 T posts all around each corner and secure it to the posts They must be sunk deep and secured. I will coverthe entire GH. Then I will do the same thing to the larger GH and secure it the same way. Now I will try to go around the entire GH with a wood frame ike you did. I made a large chicken coop and will use the basic idea. I bought these mainly for the inside frame so I do not have to make my own shelves. I used this one year and it was great but too small. Now I can grow less hardy plants in the inside because it is double insulated. Thank you I got a few hints

Would it be good for cannabis plants please let me know

  21. Krane on March 26, 2021 at 11:47 pm

One suggestion for future videos — slow camera movements. Its a little glittery.

  22. Paul Thompson on March 26, 2021 at 11:48 pm

I have one of these that we picked up through walmart.com for $50. Easy to assemble, and I used cable ties myself and all of my starters are inside. My larger plants have survived a few freezes inside. And I upgraded the cable stakes to tent stakes.

  23. Jlee T on March 26, 2021 at 11:50 pm

$99.00 now, must be because people watched the video and they jack up the price. Those bastards, I found it cheaper at Ace.

  24. Miz Gwjus Lee on March 26, 2021 at 11:50 pm

Well after 2 years of birds pecking on my greenhouse cover, its completely destroyed.

  25. Silver Falkon on March 26, 2021 at 11:52 pm

    Just got mine.

    Most definitely worth it.

  26. Andre Walker on March 26, 2021 at 11:53 pm

My family and I have this green house and it blew over the yard to resolve that we put a box on each side at the bottom and started composting and it keeps the green house from blowing away and warm through the coldest days here in South Carolina zone 8

  27. Luke on March 26, 2021 at 11:55 pm

Recently bought one of these, well the smaller versions that’s just a stack of shelves to keep my bonsai in for winter, great purchase.

  28. Jules Small Gardening on March 26, 2021 at 11:55 pm

Nice review. And yes, the shelves for all of that stuff. Flimsy is the correct word.
And of course, something so light needs to be anchored. Why do people complain about the obvious? Nice way for you to explain it. 🙂
Agreed. The pure clear is not, well, does not last long I would say.
    Good review mate. 👍👍

  29. Cynthia Castrucci on March 26, 2021 at 11:55 pm

Going into my third year with this same green house. I have had a lot success and I live in the northeast. I can put my hardy plants out into the green house as early as March.

  30. Ads Adventures on March 26, 2021 at 11:58 pm

I have a similar one and could you share tips on how to keep this greenhouse warm when temp goes below 30F

  38. Christopher Platt on March 27, 2021 at 12:05 am

Dude, you should have trimmed the zip ties to make it neater. Good video though. Just bought one

  39. C Moore Starts on March 27, 2021 at 12:06 am

Dude, I killed a bunch of starts in one of these types in April. Got down to 26 and the cold went right into it. Be careful once the colder temps set in.

  40. Karrie Langston on March 27, 2021 at 12:06 am

I love green houses. I bought my first 5 or 6 years ago. It is finally done. Don’t underestimate wind damage. I had a couple hundred pounds holding mine down. One rouge wind blew it up over the house. And it was against the house for wind protection with tie downs. Needless to say my tomato plant labels were a little off that year.

i used this i have it indoors actually i know that’s odd. but it worked perfectly. just hard to get in when plants start maturing. and it was a little task trying to get the power cords in there for the lights i used. but it works good

  44. Jacque 3777 on March 27, 2021 at 12:16 am

I’ve had one like this only octagon shape for about 4 years. I live in south MS where it is hot ALL the time. The weather has caused some wear and tear. The strings that hold the door open has dry rotted and it has been torn in some areas. My husband has patched it with duct tape. It still serves it purpose. It has survived some tropical storms and hurricanes. The top blew off and one string kept it from flying away during hurricane Zeta in October. Don’t know how much was paid for this because it was a Mother’s Day gift. I would definitely invest in another if this one was no longer usable.

  45. Nancy Chen on March 27, 2021 at 12:17 am

I bought one a couple years ago and my tip would be to glue all the pieces together with heavy duty glue . The cover did not last very long for me because the California sun just weakened the plastic cover. So I would recommend using thick poly plastic that was UV treated just to cover the top part. I found a big ole roll for like $10 at Lowe’s. I made a cheap bottom frame with 2X4’s and zip tied it down to wood frame to keep it from getting blown away. This is going on my third growing season with this green house. I think it’s paid for itself now with all the 🌱 I used this greenhouse for. It has saved me 💰 by not having to buy seedlings.

I’ll be sure to add tie wraps! Thx!

  48. Trinity Lost on March 27, 2021 at 12:25 am

Dang. I watched this and ran out to my greenhouse to zip tie the shelves down, and it snowed last night, stuck my zipper together, and I ripped the plastic. Yes, it was clear. Granted, I figured it was too soon to put up, but I live in Oregon, so it doesn’t snow much, just rains. I’ve only had it up for a week. It’s supposed to snow all night. The weight of it pulls the roof down and the sides don’t line up to zipper correctly. I still love and will use it as long as I can, but be smarter than me and don’t put yours up in February, folks! 😀

This greenhouse is now retailing on Amazon for $79.99 – in less than a year.
