Windowsill Gardening

If you don’t have a greenhouse then a windowsill will do when it comes to gardening. You may not have much room but the windowsill gardening technique will certainly help germinate your seeds and grow your seedlings on until they are ready to plant out.
Get creative with your herbs, they thrive on a windowsill. This little strip of space will definitely kick start your growing season.

Hi Adam, good luck with everything. I will be planting potatoes today in the garden. Already got first earlies through in pots. You have a good start on me with the pumpkin challenge. Looking forward to seeing how everything turns out. By the way, do hope you have fully recovered. See you soon, Dave.🎃

Hi Adam, here in France we are in total lock down, I am lucky that I live in the middle of nowhere with no neighbours and have a large veg patch

Hi Adam, blimey mate how big is your windowsill Lol!
we only have a tiny one in the sunniest aspect of our house.
interesting to hear your thoughts about the possibility of being locked down and unable to get to our plots (was thinking same myself today) It could end up with me having to dig beds in the lawn for our veg and re-turf when all this situation has resolved.
    cheers

Hi Adam, Great video, I wish I had a windowsill that had a clear glass but I don’t and that is why I have 2 grow lightboxes and they work well, You have the right idea regarding your back garden fill it up with pots and buckets, Keep up the good work and Take care.

Windowsill gardening is very much a thing Adam, just ask the two cactuses on our kitchen window. Most of my views on the current world situation begin with F and probably wouldn’t make your video either, but growing more stuff in the back yard is a winner my friend, especially potatoes. I can see the potato reveals already. 🍟🍺

Good morning Adam. Sounds like a wise decision to grow as much as you can at home. I’m doing the same. Best wishes Bob.

Just came back from the store where I was buying my parents groceries. Shelves were empty, except for the soap. Hmmm. Now are your neighbors eyeing your garden as they are eyeing mine? At least I have the vegetables covered. Good luck with your garden this year.

I suspect your views on ‘the current situation’ are not unlike my own. F*ck ’em, in other words.
We are living in strange times, but we will prevail. Happy gardening, Adam. Keep that camera rolling!

We’re under martial law. And I’m quite happy with that, to be honest. We have plenty of toilet paper tho, but can’t buy flour or cooking oil to save my life. Guess different countries have different priorities.

Interesting video as always. As for the CV debate, I have done no bulk buying. No point in b/buying Loo rolls cos if we run out of food due to idiots b/buying, we won’t need to use the Loo rolls will we? If they do ban 70 years and over on allotments, that will account for about 80% of the ones that use them. Luckily, you and I don’t fall into that age bracket unless of course you use Botox for your YouTube channel. Happy gardening😀

  26. My Hillside Garden on April 1, 2021 at 12:28 am

Adam, one thing I’ve noticed is that your homes generally have a deeper windowsill to allow for you to start your plants, which, I think is a fabulous idea. Here, we have no real sill to speak of. I agree, start a garden with all this time people will have on their hands. Check on your elderly. They are in the most need now. It’s nice to be nice. Be well and stay safe, can’t wait to see the back garden. Catherine

I’ll keep going to the allotment until they tell me to stop! I’m pretty healthy and haven’t any health conditions so I’ll carry on. I really don’t know what to make of it, some people don’t know they’ve got it, some have very minor symptoms, some get flu like symptoms and some poor people die. And thankfully it doesn’t seem to affect kids, which is a good thing. We should be abroad this week… For obvious reasons we’re not, thank goodness. Wouldn’t want to be stuck In a hotel room for 14 days! Anyway Adam, keep safe and keep those videos coming 😂😂😂
