Recommended Books & Guides On Wild Edibles & Medicinal Plants

Hey guys in this video we go over some of the books and guides that I recommend for foraging wild edibles and medicinal plants. There are thousands of books on this subject and today we talk a bit about some things you might want to keep in mind when looking for books on plants. Things like good detailed text of the plants and it’s uses, up close or detailed photographs of the leaves flowers can all be useful. Some of these books talk about edible plants, others talk about medicinal plants, and some are just a good read covering a lot of different plants and herbs.

From the Peterson Field Guide to Edible and Medicinal Plants, to the Smithsonian handbook for herbs we talk a bit about each one and how they can help you in identifying or using wild plants for food or medicine. These are just a few of my recommended books and guides on wild edibles and medicinal plants.

I thank you guys for watching I hope you enjoyed it and I hope you learned something. If you want to learn more about edible or medicinal plants make sure to subscribe!

I bought many of these books after watching your reviews about them. These reviews are so very good and helpful. You do a great job reviewing them. I have one book about mushrooms of new york state, but I think I’m going to get one or maybe a couple for plants in my area as well. That’s a very good bit of advice. Can never have enough books. Thank you so much for these reviews! They are so helpful!

Herbal remedies for body, Mind & Soul: A short guide by Natural style Barcelona – Kindle edition by Roberts, T.. Professional & Technical Kindle eBooks @ (
This book gave me real good insight into some of the best herbs that I kept hearing about but not getting g much information on, the book covers herbs that are similar to drugs but the natural version, instead of just showing herbs that heal they also show the other side, and hopefully this book can help some people get off chemical drugs and enjoj what nature has created, if you have a amazon account you can read for free, I really enjoyed it anyway.

I like ur way of demonstrating d plants because u hold them in ur hands that give me an idea of the size of d leaves etc. but d books don’t really show sizes unless u read d description. I would buy ur books

Don’t eat the water lily tubers as suggested by Peterson and others. Do your research. Most are poisonous
