Is it still too cold for Basil seeds? 42-48F nights here at Central/Baseline.

Next week I see a forecast of 55F nights. So, I’ll try again.

I was just wondering because you have Basil growing.

I sow about 40 pots of Basil seeds on Feb 5 as a test run to see if they sprout in 45F nights, they didn’t.

Hi. I live in Tenerife , one of the Canary islands and after many failings I started to follow your planting plan as the climate seems similar although we never have frost. Thank you, I am having much more success. I have a question. I still cant seem to produce either cauliflowers or cabbages , the centers never develop and if they do despite spraying with neem or my home made tobacco liquid I can’t stop the mealy bugs forming in huge quantities…. do you have any suggestions please. Many thanks

  16. Felicia on April 7, 2021 at 11:33 pm

I’m curious if you shade your garden during the summer? Do you have any videos on that? I’m here in Arizona as well, zone 9B.

I love your Coral vine that you have shown us in your garden tours and I would love to grow one. Do you suggest purchasing a live plant or can it be grown successfully from seed? I’m also in Mesa, AZ. Please suggest garden centers you may know that may sell it. Thank you.
