I’m 21 years old right now working overnights at a grocery store, before that I did landscaping for a summer when I was 16 and it was the best job I’ve had. My dad and I are gonna try to make our own business in the next few years. Thank you so much for this video!

  5. David Moya on April 15, 2021 at 11:49 pm

Such a real video I’m so glad you made this I worked in landscape over 20 years I started my first business 4 years ago it didn’t go well but from all my knowledge as a foreman as well the transition to owner did bring its own challenges that I loved. I’m considering going back into business and I don’t have any money but I have the ambition. After watching this video you gave me confidence to go out an just do it. I’m gonna take the leap and get back to you with part 2. #staytuned

I’m starting a landscaping business in Southern California. First I’ll say that I’m Mexican as well (Born and Raised in California) I don’t even speak Spanish but I see these immigrants making $7000 to $10000 a month. That should be me.
Most people would rather work with a company that speaks English and I’m also using all battery powered equipment which is a lot quieter and does less harm to the environment. I have many advantages over the other guys and those advantages are worth more money. Yes it’s more expensive to use battery operated equipment but I’ll be using solar to charge batteries while I’m out working. This set up is worth more than having 10 batteries at $250 each.
A little bit of a bigger initial investment but I’m convinced that it will pay for itself very easily.

When you say the 1500 and bring it down to 700-600 do they look shocked? I used to mow lawns at 15 for $40 600 seems like a lot. But they take it considering all the extra work like weeds and stuff?

  15. Noa Rose on April 15, 2021 at 11:57 pm

I made $15,000.00 in one week.

I started a small landscaping business when I was 21 I started by going to houses my uncle did when he had his business but moved to a different state I got most of the places because they knew me. I had a beat-up 99 chevy blazer thing was a workhorse tho I was broke used the last of my money for gas to drive from place to place and get clients to start by mowing their lawn and get money to expand with more tools I stuffed my lawnmower a rake and broom in the back of my blazer and did each yard for $25 then my cousin was sick of his job at a hotel so I told him to come work with me I found a second lawnmower with a good blade but wouldn’t start in an ally by a dumpster my cousin changed the filter and thing fired up, my cousin borrowed his uncle’s trailer in exchange to mow his yard every week. We got cards and started posting online. A little over a month later we were edging cutting branches down from trees mowing we could almost do everything and I got good quick at pricing jobs. Wish I didn’t move and give it up but I am getting back into it I know how to be a survivor and be resourceful. Thanks for the extra wise words man ill save this and watch again every time I get closer and closer to getting running.

  40. Zach Notter on April 16, 2021 at 12:34 am

How much should be charged for a simple mow and weed eat in a small rural town in Missouri?

  41. tyreese barracks on April 16, 2021 at 12:37 am

Another question, Did you start by doing everything by yourself? If not, did you pay your friends by the hour?

  42. Jake Lodhi on April 16, 2021 at 12:38 am

Hey man, is there anyway I can chat with ya about a few things? I’ve been messaging company owners of landscape businesses in my area, offering to pay them money for some advice or pointers. I’ve not gotten 1 response from anybody. I’m all about growing and succeeding so I can help people. Period. Yes I’d love to be able to live comfortably rather than surviving and I’d like to be able to live, rather than be in constant fear that I’ll go backwards and it scares me every second of everyday…but 2nd priority is being able to go this business and take care of my team like other businesses won’t do. As well as start other businesses and be able to take care of them. I just needs a few pointers and would like to just have a conversation with somebody willing to educate me. I’m in Fort Worth, Tx. I have ASD and getting past my mind is the toughest thing, but getting direction from a solid company owner and seemingly an even more solid of a human…would be ideal haha @keithkalfas

I was just doing basic lawn mowing I’m tryna end the year with 5 properties a day so 50 a month paying me a flat rate of $50 a lawn as long as it takes an hour or less you’d make a good $250 a day or $1200 a week while only working 5-6hr days
