garden planning 2021: january (freeby) #vegetable #planting #date #calendar #spreadsheet #homestead

In part 2 of this series, what you should be doing for your garden in january, we look at a free spreadsheet that will help you plant and plan your gardens more easily. You simply look up your last frost date, first frost dates and the spreadsheet will then give you the dates you should start your seeds indoors, or plant seeds or transplants outdoors, and also an anticipated harvest date based on the average growing time for each vegetable. Its easy to modify for your own needs and If you have suggestions on how to improve this I’d love to hear them in the comments below.

You can get your first and last frost dates from here by zip code (needed for spreadsheet above): https://www.burpee.com/findgrowzone or here: https://planthardiness.ars.usda.gov/PHZMWeb/

I can tell right away this was put together by a seasoned and knowledgable gardener who is planting legacy seeds on youtube, by making these videos. Thank you for your contribution to gardeners, and especially all the beginning gardeners that are watching and the many many more that will watch, over time, these videos.
