Do you think I could use a hand saw instead of a miter saw?

  7. M Y on June 21, 2021 at 1:53 am

Great! Purchased the lumber today, however, went the less expensive route and will be using cedar fence boards. Hope it turns out close to yours in looks.

Wont the lumber rot from the water draining?

  9. Monica Schwaner on June 21, 2021 at 1:56 am

This is absolutely beautiful. We live in the desert and I am going to make a 4′ X 7′ box for an outdoor dragon enclosure. Perfect for raising her off the ground, pretty to look at, and functional/easy to plant with edible yummies. Now I just need to find the instructions for a hardcloth frame box to fit inside the side rails! Thank you.

Hi, just wondering if you sanded the wood after you were done building the garden box?

  16. Get Things Done on June 21, 2021 at 2:11 am

Can you plant vegetables in a raised garden bed like this? I know you mentioned getting soil made for raised garden beds, does that mean certain plants do better, while others do worst in that setting?

  17. Robert Long on June 21, 2021 at 2:12 am

I have the lumber to make two of these. How long did it take you?

  18. jessica perez on June 21, 2021 at 2:14 am

How many cubic feet of soil is needed to fill this garden bed?

  19. Tyler Desrosiers on June 21, 2021 at 2:14 am

  20. Kay Stark on June 21, 2021 at 2:17 am

Where did you get the bookcase in your video? Is it is gorgeous.

  21. Bill Stahr on June 21, 2021 at 2:18 am

I made it today. Worked great. Although I made it out of cheap pine. I just wanted to see if I could make it.

  22. Stan Alachniewicz on June 21, 2021 at 2:20 am

What about drainage? It doesn’t look like you put any in. Or does the water just drain through the weed fabric?

  23. Jeffrey Wong on June 21, 2021 at 2:21 am

Looking to build one that is 8 feet long. Do you think I should add additional support in the middle?

    Great video! Thank you!

Made mine today! (Well, Ill cut the bottom slats tomorrow- it got hot out), looks wonderful! Much better than I expected to be able to do, but instructions were really nice and clear. Used cheap pine and made the width a little shorter to fit where I needed it, but this was fantastic guidance, thanks!

I’m going to build one this weekend using your method – looks great, and no complicated joinery.
