  7. WV Swimbaitin on July 8, 2021 at 2:05 am

How do u get the water going??? I’m sry I’m very new to this

  8. Dino Migliorino on July 8, 2021 at 2:06 am

Polyester is not biodegradable. If washed and reused, it would seem that this would be an ok option but putting it in your garden doesn’t make much sense to me since you eventually will have to pick it out and throw it away.

Cotton is biodegradable and will do the same job plus the worms will love it in the garden along with the biosolids in it. Clothing made with cotton can also be utilized this way if water is able to pass through it.

If we enjoy the "features" of nature but utilize products and resources non-conducive to nature, it seems counterintuitive. Feed nature not garbage.

This was hands down the easiest video to listen to. No long intro before getting to the substance of the video. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Around how many gallons does this filter, and do you have any other filter systems in your pond?

  19. TastySurrealBowl on July 8, 2021 at 2:15 am

  25. Ricker’s Homestead A Hobby Farm on July 8, 2021 at 2:25 am

I put together one of these but I didn’t get one of the sponges so I used lava rock in the bottom. I will get one of those sponges next time I go out. But just adding the falls to my pond has made a tremendous difference in the water clarity. That little extra filtration is really doing it’s job. I want to add a bog filter to my pond as well. But at the rate I’m going it’s gonna take me 10 years to finish my pond lol.

Thanks man. I bought a property with a big koi pond that had been neglected by the previous owner and right now it’s a giant breeding ground for mosquitos. Unfortunately the fish are dead and I was trying to figure out the filtration system so I could hopefully bring the pond back to life and your video helped out a bunch.

  41. Bunny Wagon on July 8, 2021 at 2:50 am

Hi, wondering from were the water is coming in from into the filter cause you got the pond and then the water running down into the pond.
Wondering how you connected it to the filter and what prior pipe work you did to connect it all. Great video
Wondering if it will be good or work for ducks. Doing research before I go and buy 2 ducks 🦆🦆🦆🦆

  42. Michael Hébert on July 8, 2021 at 2:52 am

Nice video, thanks for this idea. Only thing missing, how does the water come to the filter? What pump and, does the pump need to be filtered to avoid clogging? Thanks, I just subscribed.
