  4. Rolando Medina on July 11, 2021 at 2:07 am

I think that the cheap tools is only for certain projects only. And the expense price ones is for major jobs.

50 plus years ago , I bought many name brand tools with lifetime warranties . Most held up quite well , but I guess I’ve been dead for over half my life now , because most of the tools that DO need warranty replacement during the past many years can’t be warranted because the company is no longer in business .My experience with Harbor Freight is pretty similar to Scotty’s .

That ain’t rocket science,if you pay a fraction for a tool that’s too good to be truth,it’s just that, junk. The difference between home owner tools and professional tools is one is made to be used occasionally and the other every day all day.Old cliché,you get what you pay for.

I bought a cheap harbor freight saw zall 10 years ago. I have beat the literal crap out of it for 10 years, its been left in the back of a truck and fully submerged in water 3 or 4 times. It has been ran over, dropped from 30 feet and left on a scaffold for 2 weeks during the rainy season. The thing still works. I never got that kind of service from a Dewalt that cost 8 times as much.

  15. Preston Dominey on July 11, 2021 at 2:22 am

Listen no hate to harbor freight, but they are too cheap, which obviously means the tolls won’t be as good as you need

Mostly I don’t buy at harbor freight just here and there

  26. METALJEW on July 11, 2021 at 2:41 am

China stuff keeps getting better and better. We are shipping Trillions of dollars over to the East. They in turn keep buying more and more of America. See where this story is going people? China is becoming The #1 SUPERPOWER IN THE WORLD. USA is in for a world of hurt and just think, we knowingly did it to ourselves!

  27. Drew w on July 11, 2021 at 2:42 am

I personally won’t buy anything electric from Horrible freight. And if I buy the hand tools I expect to destroy them with the job I’m doing.

But the jacks are kind of a hidden gem IMO. My 3.5ton jack has been going for years and works great.

  28. Mike on July 11, 2021 at 2:42 am

Torque wrench, figured he dump on those.

  30. Broken One on July 11, 2021 at 2:43 am

I have one of those saws. Have had it for years and beat the hell out of it.

  31. Garrett Lockley on July 11, 2021 at 2:43 am

For the average Joe, Harbor Freight is all you need. For a professional mechanic…not so much. The good thing is there power tools come with a 12 month no questions warranty. Just go pickup a new saw for free.

  32. Kevin Naderi on July 11, 2021 at 2:44 am

    Professional contractor here :
I love their demo hammers ! They literally take a beating , we’ve even left them in the rain , sun cold. On the back of the truck for days … still turn on every single time 🤣🤣

I bought a 29 dollar cutoff saw from harbor freight. Rebuilt a 25 x 30 foot deck. Build a garage and it still works fine. Money well spent

  38. John Harvey on July 11, 2021 at 2:52 am

If you have old tools with broken (especially plastic parts) I have 2 words for you, Flex Glue. It really works better than wiring things together.

I only shop NAPA and Geek Parts for hard to find parts. I stay away from Auto Zone, etc. I had bought Mood suspension parts for my Ford Taurus and the local Advance Auto Parts shop was the distributor. I picked them up and I didn’t inspect the parts. I put them away and before the 90 day return date I inspected them and I found someone had taken out the new Moog ball joint and replaced with a used unit. Never again!

I don’t buy socket sets from harbor freight. If you lose one socket, they won’t sell you a replacement. You have to buy another whole set.

  49. Big Mike on July 11, 2021 at 3:05 am

Don’t buy auger bits from there either, learnt that the hard way.
