Garden Projects Vlog | DIY Raised Garden Beds & Landscaping

A peaceful garden vlog with raised bed gardening, rock gardens, landscaping, backyard makeover transformation.
What is an area of your home that you would like to make over?

We made 2 garden boxes using
Ten 8’x12″x2″ Douglas fir wood boards (Untreated)
The boxes are two boards high on the long sides and the remaining two boards were cut into four section 2′ long each for the short ends of the boxes.
My dad had the idea to use 2″x4″ boards spaced 2 inches apart all the way along the inside of the bottom for support and then lay in a heavyweight sheet of plastic he had to keep the dirt in. I also poked 5 or 6 holes in the plastic in between every board all the way along the bottom for drainage and we placed the boxes off the ground on cement bricks for height. You could also simply build them directly on the ground but we wanted to fill in around them with gravel.

Awesome paint like deck and a water seal inside the bed would have been a good idea, that’s what we did to mine… nice work!
