Perpetual motion machines — devices that can do work indefinitely without any external energy source — have captured many inventors’ imaginations because they could totally transform our relationship with energy. There’s just one problem: they don’t work. Why not? Netta Schramm describes the pitfalls of perpetual motion machines.

Meanwhile the Earth keeps rotating arround the sun like a perpetual motion machine. Seems they forgot gravity is an endless energie that never stops it’s pull.

I’ve seen a TikTok video where a guy sucks water out of a bucket with a hose and keeps going and fills up another and it’s 4 buckets and water keeps flowing

  8. Catherine Li on July 31, 2021 at 9:31 pm

what if , a machine, use only a little drop of water, produce more energy to pump a bucket of water ??

Thermodynamics does not exist therefore a perpetual machine can exist

Perpetual motion machines could work in theory, if you could use a small bit of electricity to spark them up again when they start slowing down. Which is not really a perpetual motion machine but more an assisted one saving energy on a low cost and low energy machine. I guess sort of like a hybrid vehicle for example.

"The only thing that’s truly perpetual is our search."

I GOT IT! I FIGURED IT OUT! Our search is the perpetual motion. Machine. It’s the power of hope and friendship. We just need to belive in ourselves and never give up hope. So through this, we can just make everyone puke from how corny this theory is and use the kinetic energy from projectile vomit.

My daughter thought of one of these. It was of two wells in the ocean. On had water in it, the other air. There was balloons attached to a belt that went through both chambers from top to bottom. filled with air, Essentially the balloons would float on one side and fall on the other in a never ending circle.

Wow, someone already tried an idea that I thought I was the only one to come up with. Damn, I guess this means that the idea won’t work even if I tried something different. I probably would have had the same result as they did.

  22. ulu on July 31, 2021 at 9:49 pm

i do believe there are some that do work and would exist, if it wasnt for human greed. cant really make a lot of money with unlimited power, can cou? just look at what early lightbulb companies did to increase their profit. hiring engineers to make them break sooner. planned obsolescence is why we cant have nice things

  23. Christopher Thompson on July 31, 2021 at 9:49 pm

For the magnet, would having a mechanical button at the top of the ramp that turns off the magnet briefly, just before the ball reaches it so it can fall through the hole and and out the other end? Not entirely sure how magnets work but you can cancel magnets out somehow right, if that can be introduced with only the weight of the smaller ball then would that work?

Every kind of knowledge is ready and available in the Universe.
We human beings and our brain, which is the extension of cosmic intelligence, we will only be able to access this more complex and advanced knowledge, when we reach a higher mental level than the present one, it only depends on us.
But for now the majority of 7 billion human beings waste their mental capacities with superfluous matters, so…

Can we not extrapolate energy from heat transfer? Because that would solve the friction energy transfer problem. Or find a way to hinder the spreading of energy. A way to direct the unwanted energy transfer back into the system.

  29. Scotlands Tonic on July 31, 2021 at 9:58 pm

We have gravity to create perpetual motion. Satellites have been doing it for decades. The whole cosmos is in a state of perpetual motion lol

  30. Zaknel The Pony on July 31, 2021 at 9:58 pm

I know the laws of physics have always said that matter, energy and electricity cannot be created or destroyed… But something has never sat right with me on that. you don’t get something from nothing, so where did all of the matter, energy and electricity in the universe currently come from? It cannot be created, so it should not exist, yet here it is.

Come on, Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit! Is there a secret way to do it that we just have not found yet?! Or is it only you, in all of your holiness, that can do such amazing things?

Because you cannot break, bend, cheat or circumvent the immutable laws of physics.
That’s why if you see an ad or video or any claim of "perpetual motion" you know it’s an outright fraud.

  38. Arman Mankotia on July 31, 2021 at 10:06 pm

That means there is nothing which is unstable everything is stable at rest in this world until external energy applied then how big bang occurs oj its own
