This is The Most Satisfying Weeding Tool

I picked this tool up from a local garage sale and had show just how satisfying this weeder is. I will never bend down to weed again.

I couldn’t find the exact one, but here is an identical design: https://amzn.to/344AzWI Check out our new clothing line! http:www.freshpickedapparel.com

  6. Delena Paw on August 11, 2021 at 9:43 pm

This one is good but only for your back yard. It no no to use it at work. It take forever

  7. Nightowl2548 on August 11, 2021 at 9:45 pm

OK, I generally find your videos helpful, but this one needed a large edit in the middle, 6 minutes of weed pulling was way too long. The thing does look cool, but the video could have been two and a half minutes and nothing really would have been lost.

    This is not anything genius.
These were sold everywhere before you were born!

  9. José da Cunha Filho on August 11, 2021 at 9:48 pm

Too many words. This could have been edited down to half the time, and been less monotonous, providing the same information. Just saying.

Wondering if you have a guide on using trifecta 5-10-4 with cannabis, or if anyone knows of a guide using this product! Thanks

I start weeding & it’s so hard for me to stop unless it gets too hot. I would love this tool. Gardening is very calming to me, even weeding! Thx 🙏🏻😀🌺

  18. Solarstorm on August 11, 2021 at 10:02 pm

It’s broke the root so this is pointless. The weeds will grow back.

I wanna see you pull a carrot with it!

  26. fargley001 on August 11, 2021 at 10:10 pm

Got 2 of them – had them for 20 years. Rubber mallet works well to pop the weeds after extracting them (You can get good enough to make some solid 3 pointers). The mallet makes it easy/fun for the kids. We pop the weeds into a bucket or wheel barrow, and compost them.

  27. MikeAnnarose on August 11, 2021 at 10:11 pm

    Will this work on Crabgrass??

  28. Gaba 0731 on August 11, 2021 at 10:12 pm

At 4:55 says pulls “whole” weed out. Shows weed with only fraction of root system.

Ever thought about maybe using “weed and feed” and other turf builders before summer season starts to prepare your lawn for being less susceptible to this? If you are concerned with use of chemicals, you can try using more natural type weed and feed turf builders.

I just think it beats the heck out of sticking around in the sun all day and pulling hundreds of weeds that will eventually will come back more mightier than ever anyways.

    Just an opinion.

I have on of these. I bought it in like maybe 2005. I love it.

  30. Oscar W on August 11, 2021 at 10:15 pm

is it fully made of metal or partially plastic?

  31. Rob A on August 11, 2021 at 10:16 pm

I wonder how well this works on wild garlic. Those roots/bulbs go deep..

  32. M D on August 11, 2021 at 10:16 pm

It’s called a Hound Dog not Ground Hog.

  33. Anne Marie on August 11, 2021 at 10:17 pm

Most stores are sold out, now. The ones online have only 3 prongs and no plate, at the bottom, to push the weed off.

  34. Randy Rejer on August 11, 2021 at 10:18 pm

    Interesting

Love that tool. I use to have one, but not sure what happened to it. Question: Any recommendations for tools that pull grass out of gravel? We’re not so slowly losing our gravel driveway to grass. We live in a lake community in NC. Hate the thought of using grass killers because it’s so toxic to our wildlife. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. 🙂

    Like poppin poppin pimples 🙂

  37. Bergfrid Skaara Dias on August 11, 2021 at 10:20 pm

Have had a similar tool by Fiskars for 3 years and love it. If you do a thorough weeding in the spring when the dandelions start to flower for the 1st time, you’ll thank yourself all summer

  38. Heavy Metal Homesteading and Primitive Skills on August 11, 2021 at 10:22 pm

Can eat dandelion and use plantains medicinally..can’t eat grass.

  39. LovingLife on August 11, 2021 at 10:23 pm

    I want those dandelion roots.

  40. Janet Picot on August 11, 2021 at 10:25 pm

I used to drive by that long line of garage sales on my way to Croswell to pick up my daughter from camp. I could never stop at them though. Maybe next year she and I will take a day trip up there (and take a detour to your shop to buy some seeds).

Search "The Ground Hog Weed Hound" It IS on Amazon for $36 and is in stock (similar design). I bought it. I’m gonna get some Exercise while I Exorcise my weeds! Thanks for the video on such a cool tool, Luke!

How’s the build quality? I’m interested in getting one but the online reviews are saying it broke after a few uses.

  48. fpsfreak on August 11, 2021 at 10:35 pm

With this tool can u bens it back to pull weed? Or it has to be straight up?

  49. Richard Benke on August 11, 2021 at 10:35 pm

I bought the one he links. It just arrived and I’ve been out testing it. My yard is hard, dry clay, but that doesn’t matter at all. I love this tool.
