Hi Robbie! Question about what you put the water fountain on. Is that a piece of wood that you attached to your deck railing or is that a table you made. I’m looking to do something like that on my deck. Does any of the fountains on your deck ever fall off of the railing? Thanks for all of the ideas on your page. I love your enthusiasm and your love for the birds!

Brilliant ideas, my garage is now full of cement shapes with holes through them, ready to go. You don’t need to "whisper" that you bought stuff from China, I buy all my resin molds directly from China, why should I pay the markup?! Also, there are Chinese contacts here in the US, stuff just gets shipped from China in bulk and then stuck on ebay. This whole anti-China thing is so stupid. ANYWAY, great ideas!

Do you keep it plugged in the whole time? Or charge it, and take it off?

I AM A FAN FOLLOWING YOU, I LOVE hummingbirds and had no idea how tomake something like this. Out your window I have never seen so many birds! I HAVE TO MAKE THIS. I have 2 solar floating fountains coming and need that power cord…That goes into a power bank? Is it a pump with usb? Anyway- I’m doing this and a new friend so thanks for making these videos!

  7. M. Walter on August 18, 2021 at 10:08 pm

How long does this little pump last?

  8. Luzy Reyes on August 18, 2021 at 10:08 pm

  9. Judith Richards on August 18, 2021 at 10:09 pm

Robbie, Thank you for all your suggestions and you answered my question at 16:24 to my Question: 13:13 where i see the cord hanging out of the plate — i assume that is the cord to charge into a power bank — so that means i can place the bird bath far from any window/deck/patio/balcony, out into the yard and whenever i need to charge i can bring the power bank to the fountain to charge .
(you also said there are power banks that are waterproof and also able to be put outside to charge though i would prefer not let it sit out in the sun too long – – am i right? (i know answer is YES!)

We have cat so birds don’t want to come around!

  13. Shelby B on August 18, 2021 at 10:11 pm

I’m so grateful that I found this video! I recently added a bird bath to my yard and the area is shaded so, no matter which version I buy, I’m just frustrated by the solar fountains. Thanks to you, I now have a solution!🥰🥰🥰

  14. Susan Beals on August 18, 2021 at 10:13 pm

I truly love watching your videos I love your spirit how you get so excited when you said take care of these birds

  16. Deni RN on August 18, 2021 at 10:18 pm

It’s a good idea BUT I felt bad for the tiny birds. They were afraid to stand or even hover near the H2O. They had nowhere to light even a little. Bigger Birds world be fine but I think Hummingbirds can drown in a small amount of water. I bet, that’s why they couldn’t get near the water. Maybe I missed the birds who actually drank from this fountain; did I?

Thank you so much for this video. My husband and I just bought our house, and we love it, but its all wooded. We get no direct sunlight, and trying to figure out how to get some water flow for our bird baths was getting difficult.

  33. frances on August 18, 2021 at 10:36 pm

How do you power? 6:40. I’m going to consider power bank as we don’t have as much sun in WA state as CA — so glad she informed us of this alternative to solar or direct AC/DC power.

  34. JessicaJayneNC on August 18, 2021 at 10:36 pm

I’m addicted to your videos ! You’re so wonderful . You and Gary are what the youngins call “couple goals “ in MY book ! You guys must be retired , because it’s obvious you’re not boggled down by the daily grind /rat race . You’re truly cultivating your own little slice of heaven out there . I really dig how you’re not concerned with the aesthetic, sooooo many channels and so called “influencers “ seem to be so caught up with having this lifestyle that LOOKS perfect and it has tendency to make me feel inadequate. It’s clear you’re concerned with the important stuff : doing right by nature , spending as less as possible to create your garden , being creative and sharing your knowledge. I hope in few years when our house is paid off , my husband and I can start gardening and birding TOGETHER and going this same route , few years ago he was on unemployment one summer and he grew a better garden than I ever could 😜🤷🏼‍♀️. I love that y’all do it together and he’s just as excited and creative about gardening and birding as you are . I came for the hummingbird information, but I stayed for everything else Lol . My new favorite channel for sure .

The devices you are using for power are storing electricity. They act like a battery which is also a storage device for electricity. You have a lot of enthusiasm about your adventures and you come up with interesting solutions using inexpensive things you may already have.. Its highly entertaining.
