8:13 That is definitely too close .
I would put it on the ground right next to that small table and maybe lift the light a little or just let it shine over all of them haha

  2. Treasure Slayer on August 20, 2021 at 10:15 pm

My house temperature is below 70 degrees in the winter with no much sunlight. I just divided several aloes and mother in law tongues. My aloes are not happy and are still flopped over and some have what appear to be rot at the base or what looks like they are too cold like a vegetable that got to cold. Do you think I should just put some grow lights on them? I don’t want to keep losing them it’s been over a month

  3. Carl L on August 20, 2021 at 10:16 pm

Quantum Par Meter. Good for the plant growth.

  4. Faye Carmona on August 20, 2021 at 10:17 pm

Question 1: Is that a florida ghost on the shelf?
Question 2: Do your leaves come out white? 🤣

  9. Annika Ewing on August 20, 2021 at 10:28 pm

What is the name of the philodendron behind you to the left in the beginning of the video? I have one of those but I don’t know what it is exactly!

  10. Dan Enloe on August 20, 2021 at 10:28 pm

Super late and didn’t check comments to see if someone already said this but just grab a smart power strip or a Gosund smart outlet 4 pack on Amazon! You can set schedules for each individual outlet

  11. zi gi on August 20, 2021 at 10:29 pm

Love your video it was so helpful 🪴✨ Just a Q – where did you get your shelving set up from that was at 1:43 of the video? Any helpful tips? Thanks!! 🥰

  14. Adrian on August 20, 2021 at 10:37 pm

What’s the difference between the purple light and the white light ones? Do different plants need different colored lights??

  15. Angelica Susana on August 20, 2021 at 10:37 pm

I know I’m a bit late to the video, but I noticed the third product isn’t linked. Any chance you could link it again? 🥺

  16. J. Piyassaphan on August 20, 2021 at 10:38 pm

Was your light one feet or two feet?

  17. Abi Crawford on August 20, 2021 at 10:38 pm

Hi! Does the light always have to come from above? I have some plants that are on the floor and I wouldn’t know where to place a light, if it was on the ceiling I guess it would be too high?

  18. Elizabeth Ayers on August 20, 2021 at 10:39 pm

Thank you for including your dog at the end! I love it!

  19. SuperFischboy on August 20, 2021 at 10:39 pm

For your shelf you should just get a timer for your outlet

  20. Dionka Blue on August 20, 2021 at 10:40 pm

I’m getting my first plant today a peace Lilly and I just can’t wait to see how this journey goes I hope I do well at caring for it

This is what I planning on gey for his bio. Would the first one work fine? Will it harm him? Im have the enclosure that is 2 feet tall if I keep the light from that distance would that be fine?? Please reply!:) Edit the first white one. Thank u!

  22. Natalie Woo on August 20, 2021 at 10:43 pm

Quick question. Do you think that the strip lights would help the plants on my shelf that are about 3-4 feet under the light? Or would they be too far to the point where the light wouldn’t even be helping?

  23. Irtiza Khan on August 20, 2021 at 10:45 pm

How do you keep the grow light on the syngonium with the ikea cable up? Like how do you attach the cable to the wall?

  24. Antonia Ibanez on August 20, 2021 at 10:46 pm

I LOVED your plant shelf. The only thing that concerns me when having the lights on all day for my plants is the electricity bill. Would you say that the recommended lights for the shelf are « economical » ( in terms of electricity consumption??) 🪴🪴🪴

  25. Ly Tran on August 20, 2021 at 10:48 pm

Are the lights strips yellow or white lights?

  26. Be Kind Be Humankind on August 20, 2021 at 10:49 pm

How to use grow light and humidifier? Can they be used at the same time or separately in different time of the day? When is the best time to use the grow light? Sorry, so many questions 😘

  27. SimplyArly on August 20, 2021 at 10:50 pm

Hi do you also use a fertilizer spray? Is it necessary

  28. Andrea Ace on August 20, 2021 at 10:51 pm

Hey! Does your haus bright grow light bounce off the walls all around your room? It doesn’t seem to in the video but idk if it’s different in person lol. They seem to be doing that in my room

  29. AshleeEliza 1 on August 20, 2021 at 10:52 pm

What is the plant next to the string of Pearls?

  30. Valerie Sanchez on August 20, 2021 at 10:53 pm

full sunlight is 2000 µmol m-2 s-1 or 108,000 Lux (2000 ∗ 54). Multiply the Lux by the conversion factor to get PPFD. For example, full sunlight is 108,000 Lux or 2000 µmol m-2 s-1 (108,000 ∗ 0.0185).

  31. Angela on August 20, 2021 at 10:54 pm

Can I just use normal light bulbs (my normal room lighting)? Would it give the same effect of natural light or grow light???

  32. somewatsane on August 20, 2021 at 10:55 pm

    Adorable! Subscribed 🙂

  33. sa on August 20, 2021 at 10:57 pm

You could just use a plug in timer (like a grasslin?) They usually cost about $10 max in the hardware store. Also you could use standard flurescent office lights from the hardware store. As long as the color temperature is around 6500k they would work well.

  35. Nate S on August 20, 2021 at 10:59 pm

Thanks for the video tour! I’ve been trying to find some grow lights and the choices are mind boggling. I loved actually seeing the lights in use because I’m very particular on the hue and brightness of lighting. I’m gonna try those Barrina T5 lights

  36. Zine Digit on August 20, 2021 at 11:00 pm

Omg, finally somebody that talks directly about the lights! I’m gonna watch all your videos ! See you soon!

  37. Mal Bala on August 20, 2021 at 11:00 pm

Have you tried Roleadro new warm led strip lights? I see good reviews and want them for a shelf set up in the living room!

  38. Reygenbougen _ on August 20, 2021 at 11:01 pm

    Your schefflera looks amazing!

  39. Michelle Arellano on August 20, 2021 at 11:01 pm

Gah I had to rewind so many times because i’d get lost admiring your plant shelf & plants 😍

  40. Samantha Bravo on August 20, 2021 at 11:01 pm

Love your setup! How long do you have the lights on during the day?

  41. Beth Kristin on August 20, 2021 at 11:02 pm

For the manual lights, you might be able to plug them into a smart plug! The smart plug could then be set on a timer or turned on and off using an app on your phone.

  42. Lynn C. on August 20, 2021 at 11:04 pm

I just have my lights in kind of ugly clip on shades omg I need an upgrade, the lighting in your shelves makes it look all ethereal!

  43. GM. ZS. on August 20, 2021 at 11:06 pm

7:22 thank you for showcasing this! I’ve been tryna get this exact light. given that these grow lights have higher wattage than lights used for illumination, what sort of socket do you put this bulb into so that it doesn’t spark/ignite any sort of unfavorable reaction???????

  44. Clayton Roberson on August 20, 2021 at 11:06 pm

Like the shelf set up think something like that will work in my stuido apt. 👍

  45. Didi Aphra on August 20, 2021 at 11:07 pm

your plants are so pretty 😍

  46. Heidi Gaya on August 20, 2021 at 11:08 pm

I love this video. Would you recommend led lights as grow lights if placed near the leaves? Is the effect comparable to led lights?

  47. TheDucky399 on August 20, 2021 at 11:10 pm

Get some smart plugs/extension cord instead of timers. 😊

  48. LynnOppar on August 20, 2021 at 11:11 pm

My light is strong, it burns the leaves of some of my plants but my string of hearts leaves are growing out small. 🙁

  49. Mac Sauce on August 20, 2021 at 11:11 pm

I have a filtered sun/ shade plant… how long should I leave the lights on for them a day?
