All About Indoor Plants Lighting – Beginner Series

In this video, I talk all about indoor plant lighting conditions! I discuss how much light indoor plants get from each direction. Natural lighting indoors is so important for plant health, of course, there are grow/artificial lights that can be introduced into a houseplant jungle if the current lighting isn’t enough.

Really helpful thanks! I wish I had somewhere to occasionally put my plants outside but I don’t. Perhaps I’ll just give them a ‘holiday’ in a south facing window from time to time.

I love to keep a small plant on my office desk. But they never survive, I have tried different species. I even keep them out in the balcony twice a week. There are no windows near my desk, all I have is led lights at the ceiling.
Which plant should I keep? What can I do to help them survive? I am in Delhi. Any suggestion shall be appreciated. TIA.

Hey, I just wanted to know, whether we can switch the light cycle of plants. Whereat the day time, I leave my indoor planting room completely dark, and at the night, I turn on the lights. So it’s like when it’s morning for us, it’s night for the plants and when it’s night for us, it’s morning for the plants.

I am still confused, like if we are providing artificial light instead of sunlight, should we switch on the lights during daytime so as to compensate for sun.,or how to use the artificial lights. Pl. explain..

  41. Renita Dsilva on August 29, 2021 at 11:15 pm

Can you also make a video on supplementing with artificial light? My balcony doesn’t get sunlight due to the close proximity of surrounding buildings. Would love to know if i can use artificial light to help them grow better.

Hello good evening, I’m looking to grow plants in & around my house, I liked this video you shared regarding LIGHTS, it is a very important part to know while growing plants, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
Now my question is I had brought an aloevera, plant & potted it the mother plant is doing great but it had 2 baby plants with it I removed them and put them in another pot so that I could grow these separately, but it’s been months now still they remain tiny as I had planted them, I would like to know the reason for this???
