The Future of Farming

The Future of Farming

Technology is revolutionizing farming. That’s great news—by the year 2050 Earth’s population will be 10 billion, so we need to almost double the amount of food we now produce.

Growing food the way our native ancestors did was holy work that healed our bodies and the earth. Industrial farming and now this does the opposite.

Plants free of water deficit events more efficiently absorb available plant nutrients enabling plants to achieve their maximum genetic potential. SWRT membranes installed below plant root systems retain water where it falls, providing continuous delivery of
drought-free periods up to 3 times longer than intensely irrigated control sands without root zone water retention membranes (Guber et al, 2016).

  25. Spencer Sanderson on October 9, 2021 at 8:52 am

This style of farming looks like it will kill the world!! We need to work with the land not against it, put wildflower margins and the edge of fields (the area that’s left anyway when ploughed) and you will see your yields increase. Work with nature not against it, it will make it so much better for all of us.

All families should try to plant at least one or two crops to help them…..those who have arable lands should make good use of their lands and we can live a sustainable life… The problem is many are abandoning farming..i don’t blame them but we need to at least save money by planting what we can plant..

  44. AOA CHILE TV on October 9, 2021 at 9:11 am

Technology is important for agriculture, especially organic because of the amount of surface area in Latin America, there are sectors that require more technology and provide tools to farmers that way you can have better profitability because being an agroecological and organic producer you will have a considerable reduction in your input costs and that way supermarkets will not have another option to buy all the production of fruits and vegetables from local producers. WE INVITE DJI to support us – This year in November 2021 we are going to hold Latin America Organic Expo 2021. and we are in a campaign to seek experts in technology for organic agriculture and digital marketing! We give the data if someone is interested in knowing http://www.aoachile.com and if someone knows experts in these topics, you will help more professionals, governments and farmers to follow the initiatives that carry out technologies. Congratulations! I will leave my email communications@aoachile.com and link https://www.aoachile.com/agriexpo-agricola-organico-latinoamerica-2021-que-necesito-saber-sobre-el-evento/ Best regards Rodrigo Rojas Ch.

I can’t wait til I move out to the west and fly my drone out their, and run into another drone. AHAHAHHAahhaha, but it would be cool. I would be like, o that farmer is taking out that machine again. O their watering their field. ETC 😀

  46. Shotz on October 9, 2021 at 9:19 am

Ag leader needs to make electric tractor auto driving systems and drone auto fly systems that follow the field with variable spray control or just focus on the autonomous flight. I know they make auto steer systems for tractors but this would be the future for Ag Leader.

  50. sriniwinner on October 9, 2021 at 9:24 am

This I find is not about farming.
If there is a large increase in population, where are the jobs if everything is done bya robot? From manufacturing to farming to…

This is basically a technology video.

Will be required when populations start declining and there are mote old people to be supported.

I am an electrical engineer , but I don’t see the point in living in a claustrophobic small living space in the centre of concrete cities while the healthy space is occupied by robots.

So sad….for the future of the human race.
