Will this wood rot over time or do you need to treat it?

  4. KRPTV on October 12, 2021 at 9:20 am

As a lover of woodwork there is nothing more satisfying to me than seeing a close up of a screw being perfectly drilled into wood!😁😁😁

How safe is it to use treated wood for growing veg? Wouldn’t there be issues with it leaching?

  21. jerrycrow66 on October 12, 2021 at 10:06 am

If you line it with cardboard you don’t need to remove the turf. Anything below the cardboard will eventually mulch down.

Thank you for this video. I am starting off growing my own vegetables and herbs, following this video just built my own raised bed. I didn’t have to use any preservative on the pegs as the timber was pre-treated. It takes a tonne of compost, I had to use so many bags to nearly fill it.
