Window Planter Box Under $20 // DIY // Collab

Krystal, from Krystal’s Texas Garden, and I did a collaboration on a Window Planter Box Under $20. We challenged ourselves to build a window box under $20. This is a simple DIY that you can get your materials from a fence supply store to save you money from a normal big box store. Most people use this planter box as a flower box. However, we may be using this as a HERb planter box.

Is that pine wood? What type of cloth did you put inside? What size are the drainage holes?

That is a beautiful planter box. I would never have thought about lining it with cloth.

Very nice! It’s been so hot, hopefully y’all stayed well hydrated. I like that it might be a HERb box. 😁 Can’t wait to what y’all fill it with.

I want to do an indoor window planter for herbs.. does anyone know how I would go about drainage then? 😁

  23. Romaine Athey on October 14, 2021 at 9:51 am

I did it myself with the Woodprix plans. I think this is the best way to find out how to build it.

  24. Pople BackyardFarm on October 14, 2021 at 9:52 am

Sidney loved the planter box thank you for sharing this – Ruthie 🙂

  25. Naturally Balanced Farms on October 14, 2021 at 9:53 am

I want window boxes so badly but I’m sure the plants would fry in them here because our sun is so intense. Hanging pots don’t do well here either. But hopefully as our trees grow it will help and I can get some 😁 Thanks for the great video!

  26. Hammond Miers on October 14, 2021 at 9:55 am

Great to see that… I made it too. Plans from woodprix helped me a lot 🙂
