The Greenhouse is Covered! // Gardening with Creekside

We have reached a monumental point in the greenhouse construction – it is covered! It has been a busy few days here at Creekside Nursery, and we are excited to say that both the end walls and the roof are covered in poly. Join the gang as we tackle this project on a few cold (and breezy) January days!

Nicely done Creek Side family. I’m enjoying the videos and in the process of looking at greenhouses learning the pros and cons from you. I like Jerry’s think out-side the box engineering to get the plastic up and over the top. 😁

I agree with Candy! One day they may truly understand what working together as a family like this will carry into their lives in many profound ways. My stepfather Ralph inspired my love of so many things by including me. He was the gardener, the fixer of EVERYTHING around our home. I’ve carried that within me, I’m SO grateful🙂🙂

Sure does make us appreciate how things are made! We take lots of things for granted without thinking about its process and the human interaction. Your children are learning so much. Thank you for teaching us! I never knew about “WIGGLE WIRE!”

What is the estimated life span of the poly, how often would you have to replace that roof? With your brutal heat and extreme cold perhaps 5 years?

  48. Drase Lee on October 18, 2021 at 10:18 am
