Passionfruit picking adventure trip in Queensland, Australia

I always think of passionfruit as a summer fruit. But it turns out that in the right conditions there’s fruit ready for picking all year in Australia. I discovered on my trip to Beerburrum in Queensland that the vines have every stage of the fruit cycle on them at all times… from buds and (sexy) flowers to tiny fruit, right through to big, fat purple gems, so ripe that they fall on the ground overnight.
Check it out! Just don’t laugh at how terrible my harvesting and maths skills are.
And watch out for the passionfruit cracking and squeezing.
Sticky, delicious fun.

Passion fruits are super awesome and I love farming them in Ghana. I have the purple and yellow-melon types. Are those purple too?
