Typically government grants are tax free. When claiming the building on your taxes, you have to reduce the depreciable basis by the amount of the grant. That means instead of claiming the full cost for depreciation, he’d only claim $1700. I believe the depreciable life time of a green house is 10 years. He gets to deduct a portion of that over 10 years.

Fantastic, don’t wait long to get into hydroponic, is way better and faster, just begin with a starter kit, but keep the good work, clean food will give you a healthier life for your family, congrats

The government is ridiculous! All those permits and soil tests, surveyors, just to put a greenhouse on your own property.🤦🏾‍♀️
Any way they can find to dip into your pocket….

  22. MrNightpwner on December 23, 2021 at 2:26 pm

Well if you have an llc you can run it through there, reflect a negative income, and pay no taxes.

Have you thought about geothermal heat either under your hoop house or even beside it under the ground? Very cheap to do geothermal yourself to regulate the temperature. Good video.

I made a 40 x 40 high house, i used 8 x 8 pressue treated beams, all uprights, and 2 x 6 rafters, and 2 x 4, i did it before Covid , cost me 12 K, if I redid it now, would be 25 K, lumber has tripled in cost, you did well, enjoy the food and other that you grow, this year I’m bringing in worms and castings, im getting old wont have to many years to grow, but it may feed my son and grandson one day, i don’t like what I see in our country, I see though times coming, good luck man

    Repent to Jesus Christ!

    Are you a sinner?

Saint Luke 5:32 KJV I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Saint Luke 13:3 KJV I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

I wouldn’t want this group of demons anywhere near my garden. They just want a reason to come on your land and track what you do.

  48. FinznFowl82 on December 23, 2021 at 2:58 pm

I was gonna reccomend growing in self wicking containers or hydroponics but as I was typing the comment you mentioned you cant use containers. Why is that??

A second layer of plastic and a small solar fan to create an airspace between the layers will give you an R5 insulation.

    Thats a great greenhouse!
