D2D DIY | PVC Tool Hanger Hack

D2D DIY | PVC Tool Hanger Hack

Day to Day DIY is a videos series where I take you guys around the house, solve problems and complete tasks that every homeowner runs into.

Get your Shirt on!! http://bit.ly/DITylerMERCH

In this video I show you how to use some scrap PVC pipe to make some super quick tool holders for your garage or barn. I used a bandsaw and miter saw to make these cuts but you could certainly use a jigsaw or sawzall to complete this hack.

When your kid is talking to you, you can take care of giving knowledge to your viewers by telling the information to your kid. Yes, your kid will not understand but he will like that you are talking to him.

    Great video!

put your drywall up 1st in your garage and build a separate shed for your tools to go outside and give your garage a living room look with pictures and interests on the garage wall. Let’s give our garages an upscale look!

  27. cardsfanbj on December 24, 2021 at 2:19 pm

Just curious, wouldn’t it have been easier/safer to cut the miter on the PVC first and then cut out the piece on the bandsaw second?

  28. cardsfanbj on December 24, 2021 at 2:19 pm

Definitely stealing this. Moving into my grandparents old house and their old tool hangers need an upgrade.

  34. NicolasCage ribcage on December 24, 2021 at 2:27 pm

Why would you hack up your pvc?

  35. Thomas Broking on December 24, 2021 at 2:28 pm

you cut into the pipe vertical on the band saw…why shut it & wait to take it out & cut in again. ..turn it & cut your way out…

  36. Stephen Lowther on December 24, 2021 at 2:30 pm

    I love your approach!

You can cut the slots in the pvc all at once on a table saw. Before chopping the pipe, rip it lengthwise in two passes using the saw’s fence, cutting out one long gap strip. Then chop it into the desired lengths. Much, much quicker!

  39. Arlene Karr on December 24, 2021 at 2:31 pm

Could you add a board across those 2×4’s is that the correct size? Maybe able to hang more tools and things.

cool idea. I am quite the gardener, and have so many tools on handles hanging in my garage. I have some on angled dowels so I can have multiple on a slot, but I have been searching for a PERMANENT solution. Doubt I will find one as I have Stumpy Nubs’ rearrangerits syndrom! But this makes me think. Thanks for the video!
