Barty plays like a true #1, such a classy, humble, and talented player she is!

Just like with Serena, this time the guy one. Bart is tough. Congrats to Rybakina reaching the finals. A beautiful woman and love seeing her power game. My hope is she seeks the best coaches in the world to learn how to vary her pace, rush the net etc. Bart takes all the air out of the ball which disarms Rybakina’s power game and Bart has the foot speed to run down every ball and why he is so hard to beat.

Two of the most no-nonsense players on the WTA tour. Pleasure to watch.

What a great run for Barty: Gauff Kenin, Swiatek and now Rybakina. all of them fun, competitive matches, you can’t complain about the level of competition. She takes a little off the ball but hitting them deep and/or in the corner with precision, just good stuff, I would love to have that mindset. Yep, she’s #1 right now until further notice.

    Barty slice backhand is beautiful

  6. Jack Lo on January 10, 2022 at 2:41 pm

Noticed, barty’s weapon is her forehand, she will run around to protect her weaker backhand. And folks thinks barty’s forehand side is open, keeps hitting there. And barty is still young and strong enough to cover her forehand side.

I love Ash. So humble, and s great player.

ribakina plays like hantuchova , no?

  11. Moorish Brooklyn on January 10, 2022 at 2:49 pm

Once Rybakina perfect her game she will be a formidable opponent.

  12. Vinh-An Nguyen on January 10, 2022 at 2:50 pm

Barty just does not lose her serve!

  13. Leslie Rosado on January 10, 2022 at 2:52 pm

    She is like Federer 🙃

  14. S..I on January 10, 2022 at 2:54 pm

At the moment, Ash Barty is truly the definition of unbeatable. Rybakina played really well but she didn’t have any chances going up against the world no 1. She is the odds-on favorite to win the AO in front of the home crowd.

  15. Julio Cesar Velandia on January 10, 2022 at 2:55 pm

Ash, sigues siendo la mejor del mundo.

  16. Athulya Narayanan on January 10, 2022 at 2:55 pm

Barty gives me such Federer vibes.. 🙂

  17. Azmi Ganie on January 10, 2022 at 2:55 pm

  19. Ameere Alves on January 10, 2022 at 2:58 pm

    She still won’t win AO

  20. KowalskyLeon on January 10, 2022 at 2:58 pm

Ash Barty is in good shape – bad news for her opponents..
Elena Rybakina – talented player who plays very elegant tennis – very rare nowadays. She is one of my favourite players.

  21. LN on January 10, 2022 at 3:00 pm

too much variety of shots from barty that rybakina not use to.

  22. Kis Katalin on January 10, 2022 at 3:02 pm

She is balanced, calm, quiet, very good human. Letsgo fir trhophy

  23. DNAngel on January 10, 2022 at 3:02 pm

    Barty for the AO title!

  24. Joe Marshall on January 10, 2022 at 3:02 pm

Steffi Graf, Martina NAvritilova, Ash Barty, Margaret Court….all of them knew how to use that BH slice…You’d think more women would rely on it….they all have it, but they seem to only use it for defense.

  25. ucdlin on January 10, 2022 at 3:02 pm

And people thought she wasn’t the true #1 when she didn’t play much in 2020 lmao I knew as soon as she came back from leaving the sport, she’d be #1 within a year. She has world class technique and natural tennis sense you just can’t teach

  26. MrAlywood on January 10, 2022 at 3:03 pm

Toutes mes félicitations à toi chère Barty.😘

  27. Bella Jane on January 10, 2022 at 3:05 pm

Ash is going to win the AO this year. I’m calling it.

  28. Boricua De Pura Cepa on January 10, 2022 at 3:05 pm

They both boring players to watch.

  29. Neil Opena on January 10, 2022 at 3:07 pm

Barty is like female Roger! That slice, forehand and attitude 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

  30. monty niranjan on January 10, 2022 at 3:07 pm

That Ash barty is number one in the world truly makes me question today’s tennis on the ladies tour . She has a game of the nineties and no if a player has to come out shining u gotta have way more than this . The stakes for a new goat is only if u can match up to the level Serena brought to tennis . Osaka is the only girl I see who can be close. None of these girls have the invincible like game that Serena had or graf and seles showed before her . Osaka should seriously pull up her socks and make a few records while it lasts . She has a great game but physically none of these girls will have shelf lives like Serena. They will go down by the time they are thirty

  31. Viki on January 10, 2022 at 3:09 pm

2:31 : Good to see some emotions from beautiful Rybakina

  32. Samuel Attias on January 10, 2022 at 3:12 pm

    Wow!

  33. Adam Slowik on January 10, 2022 at 3:12 pm

I wish Barty a good health throughout the whole long season…
Good health (no minor injuries) = unbeatable

  34. Samuel Attias on January 10, 2022 at 3:13 pm

    Great tennis!

  35. Power through clash on January 10, 2022 at 3:13 pm

BARTY and hurkacz have the same forehand it seems like.

  36. Tommy Aung - TA on January 10, 2022 at 3:16 pm

What game is Adelaide Final ??

  37. Sal Hardy on January 10, 2022 at 3:17 pm

A 1,000th ranked seed would’ve taken that second set. What a shame.

  38. Khan Tut on January 10, 2022 at 3:19 pm

and then barta’s head goes away at the Aussie, oi!

  39. Paul Kennedy on January 10, 2022 at 3:20 pm

It will be interesting to see how the draw pans out but can easily see Rybakina doing some real damage, no matter who she is pitted against.

Ash played brilliantly in this match, hardly missing anything.

An Aussie female win of the AO, is long overdue…

  40. Citizen of the World on January 10, 2022 at 3:21 pm

Barty is everything! I am obsessed !!

  41. Steve Hughes on January 10, 2022 at 3:21 pm

Ash Barty’s looking lethal, those forehands are rocketing over the net.

  42. OUTTAIDEAS88 on January 10, 2022 at 3:24 pm

Good job Barty. But surprising still lots of seats available for world #1 in her home town

  43. Vajra Heart on January 10, 2022 at 3:25 pm

Wow impressive and beautiful tennis by Barty.

Never seen this opponent … large -:). How tall and which country.

  46. Donny Lane on January 10, 2022 at 3:32 pm

Congratulations again Ashleigh Barty back to back champions for you mate!🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🎾🏆🏆

  47. frida on January 10, 2022 at 3:32 pm

Barty is playing incredibly well… such an inteligente, mature and controlled game.

  48. NamesAreRandom on January 10, 2022 at 3:32 pm

Barty is the best alround player with an amazing mentality but as a spectator she is almost too calm – difficult to get excited watching her when she doesn’t really show any emotion nor seem to need or feed off the crowd.
