You can de-ice a deck, De-thaw container soil and soak you raised beds with hot water. This will allow you to get started earlier. And a quick tip for setting up a small 4 tier greenhouse shelving unit. Ways to get things started for your vegetable garden early!

it is better to include backflow preventer for any garden hose connection.
Thank you so much. Doggy bath time. No more soaking wet bathroom lol.
🥰
How long is this water hose ?
Planning to use the hose from the basement laundry to wash the car in the winter. I am not sure if it is safe though since laundry is in the same room as the boiler and furnace. Will need a minimum of 100 ft hose. What do you think?
Thanks a lot for posting this. Now I know what garden hose adapter to buy, very helpful!
Hello question how long is your water hose???
I would just shovel. That seems like a tremendous waste of water. My water bill is high enough.
In looking closely at the pictures it appears you must have bought two (2) adapters…One for the faucet and one for your hose. Is that correct? Oh Pooh, I went to Amazon and could not find one of these and then I noticed all your products were for 2015! Sorry, but I will try HomeDepot.
Thank you for your video
What is the size of your hose connector, i bought one of these but it seems its a bit small for my hose connector.
Thank u ur awesome
If I use a gun attachment on the hose will it build up too much pressure if there are times that I’m not spraying water for 5-10 minute stretches?
1. Waste of water 2. That’s gonna turn to more ice. 3. You are lazy pick up a shovel and if you are worried about your precious porch go fuck yourself shits not even painted you rusty trombone.

Great idea with the bubble wrap, I have 2 of those mini greenhouses, I will do what you suggest this weekend. We supposed to have nights in the low to mid 30’s, the cold weather starts should survive the nights.
I justed wanted to know how to install a new faucet on the pipeline when the old fauce is already broken
I just bought one of these today then stumbled apon this video I’m going to use it to water my garden next year sence I don’t have a outside faucet
Gary ps. Try a heat gun, the type painters use to remove old paint.
Cold water would work better, it takes less energy to get snow/ice to melting point. This is why you use cold water baths to thaw frozen meats or a whole turkey. Also, you could have shoveled 90% of that snow off the deck in a few minutes and melted the bottom layer of snow/ice with the hose. Thanks for the video!
Two Hours! You must have one hell of a hot water tank.
Thanks a lot I want fill my girls pool n don’t have any water outside
Thanks Gary. You’ve given me some hopeful ways to get going outside.
But the adapter don’t matter. One end of the hose is female and one end is male. Lol
ALWAYS keep a loop of hose in the sink – if you run it right off the faucet like that, any leaks or drips run right down onto the floor.
GENIUS! this is exactly what i needed in order to give my dog a proper warm shower outside! THANK YOU!
And to think that all of this time I used a snow shovel…….
My faucet has a neck that can be pulled out, this method doesn’t work.
Another reason why i live in Fla.
Answered my question within the first 1:10. Thank you!!!
I’m amazed the greens survived.
FYI:We in upstate NY hit below 0 most nights, its been a very hard frozen Feb…. frozen pipes, neighbors had no water for past week, I had a flooded basement, other neighbor had 1 foot thick of ice on roof that leaks during sunshine melt…If Phil* is right, it will hopefully warm up and stay that way soon. I haven’t even  started planting my transplants. But Im going to be listening to all your videos to get me motivated!
Happy Daylight savings!
2 hours spraying hot water on the deck, or 5 minutes shoveling? lol
Was this leaking bad from your sink?
Apparently, you must not own this home, otherwise your water bill will go sky high…Also, if the temp goes down below freezing at nighttime, you would have ice.
Would a shovel not help some too?
You should never use hot water outside ever.
Your faucet should be turned on with only warm water. WARM WATER ONLY.
THE ECOSYSTEM FLORA AND FAUNA…. CAN BE SCALDED. There are small creatures hibernating under frozen top soil and really in a lot of crevices you don’t even know about. Birds may head out to have a drink. There are a lot of reasons you never use hot water on the outside .
Even when you’re inside you have to be very careful with hot water.
Lol, just shovel off your deck and de-ice what’s left next time, will take a lot less time. But nonetheless, you answered my question about whether I can connect a water hose to my kitchen sink, so thanks!
thank you i appreciate it
you sound the the dog from doctor do little 😂
Thank you for the video. I was looking for such a method of faucet extension to water my plant . Thanks so much. It’s a wonderful video and I am glad you are showing it to the world.
lol, you are very silly
Make sure the hook a backflow preventer to that faucet. the garden hose can harbor millions of bacteria that can back feed into your drinking water system inside the house. code dictates that if a garden hose is connected to a house it needs a backflow installed at point of connection . Most hose bibs are equipped with it if not then there is a threat on device that you can install. a kitchen faucet does not come with one on the spout. If you have a hand sprayer it has a backflow in it. awesome idea just want to make sure everyone stay safe.
I definitely needed to see your instruction on the faucet-garden hose adaptation, but because I rent the place where I live, I don’t want to remove the tip of my kitchen faucet and risk having problems with it later on. Have you ever tried using any other kind of adapters that screw right onto the faucet without removing the tip?
@Gary Pilarchik I realize this is three weeks after the fact, but for future reference…Â
Try this trick: Fire up that little rocket stove of yours, put a metal bucket on top of it and fill the bucket with with snow to melt (and boil) on the rocket stove. Keep adding more snow til its full, wait for it to heat back up then dump the hot water on your deck.
Fill with more snow and repeat as needed.
Just an idea.
I want to thank you for my garden hose hook up. Because I was literally filling up gallon milk jugs to water my garden, but I watched this video & I went to Lowe’s and got that piece. Its a great temporary solution until I get my sprout on the outside of my home fix.
HaHaHaHa!! MOTHER NATURE Put it there!!! Let Her Get Rid Of IT!!!! BaHaHa!!
very helpful, thank you!
I think it’s funny that you didn’t just shovel?? The hose thing seems like way too much effort, but thanks for the adapter info- that’s what I needed to water, since I don’t have an outdoor faucet. LOL
How dare you assume the gender of the adapter! It can be whatever it wants to be. 😂
I never leave my 10 gallon buckets or pots out during the winter due to cracking. is this a cold frame? I have not seen one like this on a deck, interesting.
