But what about saving the seeds, don’t you want to wait til the old flowers develop seeds? Especially on native plants?

  7. Sport on March 21, 2022 at 5:38 pm

Fairly worthless video. We already know how to cut like an idiot. We came here for specifics on exactly where to cut.

  16. Nk on March 21, 2022 at 5:50 pm

    Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

  20. EllenM on March 21, 2022 at 5:54 pm

This is so general. It may help beginners have a general overview but it goes fast even for them. How about specific detailed shots of EXACTLY where one makes the cut.

    You have a magic garden……

  24. isithotmama on March 21, 2022 at 5:56 pm

Was told i can pinch my dead Gazania flower at the head or should i cut further down like you did? Or does it matter 🤷🏾‍♀️?

  25. Roxanne Gordon on March 21, 2022 at 6:00 pm

Video was not clear. Bad angle. I could see the back of your left hand great, but it blocked the view of where you were clipping. Way to fast. The top part of flower only? I heard you say  "Go down to the interior" so that is what I needed to see. I’ll try that with my Portaluca.

  26. Fish Tales on March 21, 2022 at 6:02 pm

what an unusual surname, certainly made my morning 🙂

  27. Lan Pham on March 21, 2022 at 6:02 pm

This video is not helpful to me at all, let alone beginner gardeners. First, the speaker talks too fast. Second, it would be helpful if you tell me where to cut. I realize there are specific to each each plant, but tell me where to cut with the plant you are deadheading. How about a compilation of illustrations of all the plants you have, just a few short seconds for each plant branch and where to cut. Thank you!

  28. miserycord0666 on March 21, 2022 at 6:03 pm

Great vid. The real mvp tho is that bird noise in the background 😂😂

  29. Anthony on March 21, 2022 at 6:04 pm

New to my first Dianthus plants, i know what deadheading means, but i have a hard time distinquishing the difference between a spent flower or a new bud, to me they look alike. Perhaps if you showed that differenc would be beneficial to us newcomers to this plant. Unfortunately, your demo does not show that.

    she has beautiful teeth. (:

  31. Melissa S on March 21, 2022 at 6:05 pm

Every video shows the flowers being snipped with the gardener’s hands blocking the process and then they throw the left overs out of the camera’s view so I can’t even deduct what, where, how much was cut.. WHERE do I snip? Down to the bottom? To the 2nd set of leaves below the flower? ARGH!!! I really need a detailed explanation with SPECIFICS!

GT information thanks for your time 🌹🐞🐦👍👍👍👍👍

  38. Jessica on March 21, 2022 at 6:16 pm

But where exactly do you cut?

  39. A S on March 21, 2022 at 6:17 pm

A really bad video.. she was just holding a scissors and cutting. The video did not show where on the stalk she was snipping at. Not informative at all.

  40. S. G. BENSON on March 21, 2022 at 6:19 pm

How far down the stem…more details would be nice. Sorry

  41. Julie Nguyen on March 21, 2022 at 6:20 pm

The tutorial would be more helpful with a close up of where you’re cutting the stems.

  42. winiver77 on March 21, 2022 at 6:21 pm

    Thanks

  43. Christina Bibikova on March 21, 2022 at 6:23 pm

this is pointless if I can’t even see where you’re cutting 🙄

  44. Luke Barren on March 21, 2022 at 6:25 pm

WANKNER LOL DROP THE R LOL
    good vid

  45. Michaela Sorensen on March 21, 2022 at 6:26 pm

I agree with the other comments, what was the point of making the CRAP video? The title is HOW to deadhead flowers which is a joke. The gaura section was ridiculous, I still have absolutely bo idea how to deadhead it correctly, but in comparision to the next pathetic demonstration it was quite good. I can not tell you the name of the plant because ut was said so quickly. In summary a completely useless waste of 3 minutes of my life.

  46. N on March 21, 2022 at 6:27 pm

I’m sure you cannot snip it just anywhere on the stem. Where do you snip it? It’s almost like you just wanted to have someone to talk to while you did your snipping.
