Great info 😊 I use net the now.

  5. Raccoon TrashPanda on April 1, 2022 at 6:24 pm

You don’t want to use a soft fabric net like that to keep birds away from fruit, if they fly into it or land on it they can very easily get tangled. If no one cuts the bird free it will die and then scavenger animals attracted to the body also get caught in the net. If the animal is cut free from the net while alive it can still suffer serious constriction wounds, sometimes leading to amputation of limbs. Its much better to use a hardwire mesh to keep animals away from fruit.

  18. jen sissons on April 1, 2022 at 7:02 pm

Wow Β£6,000 for the large 2 door cage? I dont use a cage at all and only a few berries get eaten. If there was a problem I would throw some scaffold netting over the bush when the fruit is ripening.

  23. Denver on April 1, 2022 at 7:14 pm

I’m going to need to rig up some netting on my trees. Last year the squirrels took bites out of every fruit that was ripening.
