ANOTHER GREENHOUSE?!?!?! It’s done, it’s done, it’s finally done!! 🌟

Come hang out with us as we build an adorable 8X10 back yard greenhouse from scratch! And YOU can build one too! This is our 2nd greenhouse build as most of you know…I was SO sad when we sold the farmhouse and I had to let go of my wonderful greenhouse that Joe built me after only using it ONE spring! But…a little bit of persuasion aka begging and some puppy dog eyes & I was finally able to convince Joe to build me another one! YES! 🙌🏻💗

Gardening in the greenhouse is awesome! 🌱 🍅 🥒 The plants THRIVE in the warm temperature, ☀️ & the greenhouse protects the plants from pests AND the outside elements like storms that can bring torrential down pours and terrorizing winds…which can be detrimental to your growing crops!

This greenhouse is probably 1/2 the size of the farm greenhouse BUT it will give us a lot of growing space regardless & most importantly, it’ll give me somewhere to spend my time in the cold winter months ❄️ to still be creative in the garden & continue providing goodies for our bellies!

This greenhouse took us about 2-1/2 wks to build… ⏰ I actually couldn’t believe how fast we did it but that’s just how we roll! 💪🏻

We spent roughly $2500 to build this beauty. 💰 A lot of things I got super cheap on Offer Up like the door for $10, the antique ladder was cheap (can’t remember exactly how much I paid because I got it years ago!) and the pink vintage sink I snagged for ONLY $25! Yeah baby! 💯

I hope you enjoy this video, Joe & I worked really hard and we were excited to share it with you! 💗😍

Drop me a comment below if you have any questions about how we built our greenhouse!

Hello. New to your channel. Here are a few tips I have learned……If you are getting pests, look into companion planting. I grow 100+ tomato plants from seed every other year and have NO WORMS OR PESTS. Planting herbs near your fruits and vegetables is a NATURAL deterrent for pests! I plant Oregon, basil, thyme and others in between plants every year. Try it because it works! I’ve been doing this for about 6 years now and haven’t seen anything on my tomato plants. My garden is 40×30 and I have 8 garden beds also. Make a hill in your beds or gardens to plant your vegetables in, they won’t drown in water. So instead of making your soil flat, make a hilled row down the center, cover the flat parsts with cardboard and the hill with black fabric to keep out weeds. Water will run off the hill and not kill your vegetables or their roots. The plants will still get water through the black fabric.
    Hope these tips help!

  22. Betty Martin on April 5, 2022 at 6:54 pm

I am gobsmacked by your design, and craftsmanship, you are truly artists! I’m enjoying noting how the extra inch you work on takes your projects and extra mile… I tend to "close enuff" it a bit too often.. and I’m just smiling on all you projects and learning.. Thank you! AND when you go to sell.. your going to get it all back in SPADES… ( gold plated ones!)

  23. Brian Sawyer on April 5, 2022 at 6:54 pm

I think I would have stained every board beforehand.🤷‍♂️

I’ve heard ducks are really dirty & they don’t have a big purpose I guess.

  31. Saiful Rimkeit on April 5, 2022 at 7:02 pm

I’ll build one similar to yours as soon as lumber prices come down, yet again. (Posted 03/22)
It helps that Joe loves his work, and it shows.

  32. Pam Schonfarber on April 5, 2022 at 7:02 pm

Sounds like your soul really needs amendments, plus there are organic techniques you can use to keep buggies from your plants etc……..

  33. James Horrocks on April 5, 2022 at 7:03 pm

Great video. My experience is tomatoes only split if you aren’t giving them water on a regular basis.

  34. Nicole Meier on April 5, 2022 at 7:03 pm

Absolutely stunning! Is there any chance you could post your blueprints for this?!

  35. Brian Hessling on April 5, 2022 at 7:04 pm

This was a great and well documented video. Showed all the details I needed to see. I think my wife will have a greenhouse like this soon. Joe probably feels like he’s a tv star being filmed the whole time. Thumbs up to him

  37. Felix Cano on April 5, 2022 at 7:06 pm

How does that corrugated plastic hold up against winter hail squalls?

  38. Dana Rae Swartfiguer on April 5, 2022 at 7:07 pm

Your carrots sure look a lot like tomatoes lol

  39. Gale Jenness on April 5, 2022 at 7:10 pm

Last year I had one gorgeous watermelon that was close to being harvested, then I noticed it was looking a little funny and put a hand on it and it was mushy. Come to find out a darn vole dug up underneath the watermelon and went inside it and apparently ate it from the inside out. I was so mad too! It’s now war with these voles and I! Deer bad enough eating my blueberries before I get to them! LOL Not that I mind the wild animals having some, but their not sharing worth a hill of beans! They don’t leave even one berry on the bushes!

  40. Javid Iqbal on April 5, 2022 at 7:12 pm

Wow beautiful green house. I love this video.

I love the creative touches to your greenhouse. I was trying to figure out how to add a sink to mine. I don’t have rain barrels either.

    Great work. Both of you.

  49. Growing To Live on April 5, 2022 at 7:29 pm

It looks great! I don’t know how bad your winters get there, but if they’re anything like northern Utah, you need massively better insulation. Great job!
