if you use these outside, you MUST check/water them at least once a day – the small amount of soil in each pocket dries out real fast, especially if it’s in sun. I’ve done it in the past, and lettuce and herbs grow great in these little holders, however, my lettuce kept bolting from heat to the soil even when watered.

I’m watching your old videos now that I’ve seen most of the current ones. If Mother Earth was telling you how to save the planet, recycle, grow naturally, it would sound like Robbie. The "experts" are selling something;. This is implementing what you may have instead of trashing and adding to garbage to grow healthy and sustainable heathy food at home.

Wonderful, ideas Robbie, so many plants, looks a bit foggy down your way this morning. Have a wonderful, day, much love

  22. dreamzofhorses on April 5, 2022 at 7:02 pm

I use one inside my pantry door where I keep spices, small packets of seasonings and baking supplies like soda and cream of tartar, etc that get lost easily in the pantry. My daughter uses one for her art supplies, bead work, etc and I use one for my horse & pet supplies a brushes, meds, even shampoo bottles fit and I can move it into my horse trailer or where ever I need it. So many things you can use them for organizing and being clear you can see where everything is at. Furthermore it is great use of vertical wall or door space.

I wish I had saw this last summer. I used my 20 year old shoe bag like this last year BUT I didn’t think to cut it. I hung it out on the garage with command hooks. I just punched holes in the pockets and put dirt right in them. Wish I had thought to use cups or bottles with cups as you did. I did get lettuce and zinnia but I had to throw the shoe bag out after the summer end as it was destroyed from watering and the weight.

  33. Dee C on April 5, 2022 at 7:11 pm

Love the shoe bag gardens and the idea to put kitchen things you use all the time and don’t want to lose. Thanks Robbie. You have some great ideas.

  45. lyricwritertoo on April 5, 2022 at 7:26 pm

So cool. Back binge watching some of your videos. I’m limited in this retirement home where I can over winter or have a nursery for seedlings. We have 3 buildings, a trainer and a shed but none lend itself to this for lack of light or cold. Not neared in winter or no electricity to heat. One is my sewing room but the overhead radiant heat is not enough for me to sew there in winter.. We retired to high desert. Today it dawned on me I can use the trailer! We made an RV park type hookup for it to use bathroom etc. even though we do winterize parts of it. I can use a plant heating pad or work something out, but these window show hangers are great! I can put sow in every window! We have window head rails I can add eyelet screws or something.
