February Winter Indoor Garden Tour 2021 | Zone 5 Gardening | Guten Yardening

Our indoor garden has undergone many changes over the past few weeks as we harvest vegetables and add more to the list of what we are growing.

In this video, we give you an indoor garden tour to show you much of what we are growing right now, and we are excited for the massive potential this small indoor space is providing as we attempt to grow fresh, organic produce 365 days a year.

Zone 5 gardening can be so enjoyable, even in the winter time, and we want to encourage you to move outside your gardening comfort zone and expand the limits of what you are growing indoors. We are doing our best not to limit ourselves, and we hope you will take on that challenge as well.

Thanks for watching.

I really enjoyed seeing all the wonderful things you’re growing.
How do you handle pollination on beans, etc? I have only tried things that don’t need pollination–brassicas, potatoes, etc…..but do beans and peppers produce without pollinators?

The way I keep my aloe happy is by ignoring it. The more attention it gets, the less happy it becomes. Right now it is trying to take over one of my raised beds.

I think the little critter you showed on a leaf is the larva stage of the ladybug?

Everything looks great and some very interesting experiments going on (looking forward to following them!). It looks like the ladybugs are very happy with their indoor environment as they seem to have laid some eggs judging by the larva! You already have a second generation started! You didn’t mention it but is that the fig tree you got in the mail (see it in a few shots) if so it looks really good!

This makes me want to bring in a bunch of my outdoor veggies that might do better inside. And I was right, your whole house is a garden πŸ˜‚πŸŒ±πŸ’•
