Yes do you have a hose pipe end that just keeps popping off?

Here is how to fix that.

Use a pair of good strong garden scissors… and soaking the hose end in hot water for a few minutes makes it more flexible and easier to connect the fittings.

Thanks so much my dad would have killed me if he knew I ‘broke’ the end

Thanks for keeping the ‘difficult’ part in. These things happen when you’re doing something you’ve done easily before if a camera is on you. Cheers for the knowledge. Going to fix up mine tomorrow. Might take a scalpel though!

it will only works until it get deformed again, and you have to cut again.

These quick-connect ends have a huge flaw that made me throw them away. The internal diameter is reduced so much that water flow is restricted, not as much comes out…maybe half. Why don’t they simply build a bigger model that does not reduce flow and change pressure?

Tip: Don’t cut the hose with a dull and small knife. Cutting the hose will burn you a lot of force😂😂😂

  20. johnpro2 on May 17, 2022 at 8:03 pm

Have been using clip on hose fittings for decades ..and they all start leaking sooner or later. . The USA uses a clamping mechanism which seem much more secure ..I will check with Bunnings.

terrible example to youngsters cutting in the hand like this. also it doesnt address the real problem with Hozelock plastic aquastop connectors, they all come of sooner or later. I have a good quality hose. cut it back and attached new one (third) securely yesterday, came off today. Going for brass now.

Use garden or copper wire. Make 2 nooses with around 8 inches spare.put them on connection tape to hose double back and tape again. Connecter will not come loose again

Made me feel ill to watch it. some peple should not be permitted to own a penknife.

  39. Fisherman on May 17, 2022 at 8:25 pm

DANGEROUS cutting the hose like that. You should first place it down on a stable platform before cutting the hose. You could hurt yourself.

  40. chris77777777ify on May 17, 2022 at 8:27 pm

Use scissors. Never use a knife like that.

  41. Riley K on May 17, 2022 at 8:28 pm

Ugh, my hose is apparently too thick for the 5/8" and stretches the teeth out so much… I dunno what to do

  42. Joseph Perrins on May 17, 2022 at 8:28 pm

Not a good idea to cut the hose holding it like that, good chance someone copying this will cut themselves.
