Today I’ll be taking you through the whole process of how I grew fruit trees from store bought fruit, including growing some from seed to harvest. I share updates along the way to show you what happened with each type of fruit tree. We’ll also go over some growing requirements to help you get started with learning how to grow different plants, vines and trees in your garden.
I’ve selected 7 store-bought fruits to grow with each one suiting a slightly different climate, so you should find one in here that you can grow in your garden wherever you live in the world.
We’ll be growing pomegranates from seeds to fruit, as well as growing goji berry plants (wolf berries), dragon fruit, peanuts, tamarillo, papaya and kiwifruit (kiwi).
Experimenting with this kind of thing gives you more that just a plant or fruit; it also helps you to learn skills of how to grow different trees from seed, care for plants with different requirements and it can lead to many other skills or passions down the track, like grafting, growing you own food and many other interests. At least it did for me!

I still remember growing little acorn plants as a kid and later trying to grow orange and lemon seeds with a napkin in a bag, later planting/placing them into a cement block. Everything was going completely fine until we went on vacation. I told my friends to do everything they could to take care of my plants while I was gone since they were all a few houses away from us, but they simply forgot. It took me days to recover from losing them all 🙁
I got suckered into buying a Gogi berry bush. The most VILE tasting fruit God has ever put on this earth. Even worse than a puckery unripe persimmon. too bad, because the fruit was beautiful, it looks like glistening, red earrings hanging from the branches.
Dig it. That’s what we been doing with store veggies.

People can have whatever opinion about cannabis they wish. However. Finding seeds in my stash when I was younger fueled my interest in gardening and learning as much as I can about plants.
Im at 40 degrees north in the midwest of USA so many of these fruits wouldnt be suited for our winters. I did grow Papaya and when I lived in Florida though. I left before it fully matured though. I had no idea they were dioecious. This dude is cool

OMG ! Your content is amazing ! I was on here looking to see if/how I can grow raspberries from store bought fruit. And your channel popped up. I’m 57 and have been gardening since I was about eight years old. I’ve been growing stuff from store bought fruit for many years but I’m looking to try new stuff. The goji berries look like a good idea. They are healthy, cold tolerant and my wife is from Indonesia. She loves this kind of fruit. I grow other stuff for her from seeds I got from store bought fruit and vegetables. Asian pear tree, Kaffir lime tree, kemangi plants,(kemangi seeds sent from Indonesia), mandarin Orange, key lime and bitter melon. I also grow a lot of hot chili peppers for her, to make hot chili oil. And I grow some of the stuff we use for juicing. Kale, spinach, carrots….. Anyway, I just hit like and subscribe. I have a wisteria I planted probably 20 years ago and it has never flowered so what do you think may be wrong?
I’m in the process of growing Lemon Trees from Seeds I got from the lemons I get with my sweet tea when I eat out, several have sprouted, a few seeds turned black in the ziploc bag when I was doing the wrap the seeds in a damp paper towel inside a ziploc bag to get them to germinate trick. Just transferred another seed from the ziploc to soil last night.

you could try and grow wistaria there a vine plant that grow in America china and japan, Japanese wistaria grow in a different way then American and Chinese wistara but there still a vine plant

Awesome video, thanks for the info. Here in the USA many people take the tops off of pineapples and plant them. You can literally just twist off the top and put it in water until you see roots and then put it in dirt for a new pineapple. 😃
2:39 out of curiosity, what’s your definition of “cold” ,like what degree Fahrenheit (I dont know is that’s how you spell that) if cold is around -10 to -30 possibly -40, would you still be able to grow that berry?

Pineapples are really easy to do too! Just cut 1-2" from the top and plant it. They’re great because they grow almost year-round!

Stopped at pomegranate because it and as well as most fruits are never true to type or true to seed, meaning you need to grow from cuttings. Anyone trying this will be disappointed when they find the fruits don’t taste like they’re supposed to taste. Good luck
