This is an amazing round up for seed starting many of different plants. I re-watch it every Feb/Mar to double check my approach for each variety, before i start the seeds for it. Thanks a bunch Gary, i’ve been a fan for years!

The roots of onions can be trimmed back with scissors if they too long to make them easier to plant out, same with leeks.
Put trimmings in a tub tho so onion fly can’t smell them.
Always transplant in the cool of early morning.

Stevia – I saved a bunch of seeds from a live plant I bought and the seeds had a very high germination rate. I ended up with many more plants than I needed.
    So save your Stevia seeds!

I learned a ton from this, thank you! One note is that you don’t mention how many weeks before transplant for a lot of the types, and that’s really important for planning/ knowing when to start things…

A trick to get better germination on stevia is a mix of 50/50 hydrogen peroxide and water. Soak seeds overnight and plant in the morning.
