Garden Planter for Village, Routing & Burning Letters into wood
Garden Planter for Village, Routing & Burning Letters into wood
Made a garden planter for the village inscribed with the village name and a simple scroll underneath. Routing and then burning the letters is a really effective effect that makes your work stand out.
A fairly easy DIY project thats going to take you a day or so. Depends on how long the glue for the letters takes to set. In the sun its done in about an hour unless youve put the glue on thick.
Make your planter up as you normally would, print out some letters using Word or whatever word processor youve got access too. Enlarge them if you need to and then glue them down using PVA onto the timber and allow to dry.
I used a straight bit for the letters and a v bit for the scroll.

Could you tell me the brand name of the burner you used on this project.

I love it very beautiful I have a question can you make a video how to make a shelf out of wood to store your shoes
Amazing stuff you make out of pallets
very nice…I made one too this year that was very similar.
Nice trick using a torch to burn the letters, probably common, but I haven’t seen it before. The planter is beautiful!
Good work Bongo
Nice tidy job that , you dont expect it too actually come out looking that nice when watching you screw a few bits of wood together at the start , then all of a sudden he it does it again making it look easy lol 🙂 Do you have many viewers from the village Bongo ?

How cool is that…….from scrap comes forth beauty….way to go Bongo…..never cease to amaze me….great work.
Awesome. I love watching you make things, especially because it is not "fine woodworking", but an as-equally desirable rustic build that motivates others to take out their tools. Thanks!
